This is one reason I despise modern collectivist, critical race theory derived identity politics. No longer is it possible for a person high on the "progressive stack" (LGBTQ, Person of Color) to be dishonest and play dangerous games, nor can we hold such an individual accountable. They must be defended at all costs, no matter how problematic their individual behavior is.

Heard the smollett family is deeply traumatised over the 'monkeying around' business. I personally think it may have been deliberately worder as an inside joke. After Roseanne etc he'd have to know how starved for attention and desperate race martyrs can be when the cameras roll.

Roseanne got insta cancelled over a similar turn of phrase. Roseanne once called me a 'servile toad' online but nobody had nothing to say about that! Don't think I didn't notice and that was way more heinous than general urko. Best moment of the trial.

Any real justice would send Smollet to prison for several years just like any random chump who could have been arrested and railroaded to make social/political points. Attempted murder by noose no less! Dumping bleach to lighten his skin for entertainment! Oh, the racial epithets the attacker used - against a gay man! The prosecution demands life in prison with no chance of parole. A dedicated racist with a desire to murder for ethic cleansing can never be released to endanger society again.

Anyone willing to subject a complete stranger to this possible fate sould rightfully suffer the same as if the roles were reversed. So you're gay, so you're Black, so what? You are still responsible for your own actions in this world. Anyone thinking otherwise has a serious agenda that would use other people as stepping stones to power.

Eta: I hope i never memorize the actual spelling of Smollete's name. He doesn't deserve remembrance any more than Hittlur or Stallin.

Guilty.

I doubt that even a Chicago jury would issue a race based NG verdict that quickly.

Is it still possible to find 12 honest Chicago citizens?

They would do it that quickly just to make the in-your-face point. I will be stunned if he is found guilty of anything. I hope I am wrong, but I will genuinely be stunned if I am.
