Known as the Community-Industry Response Group, or C-IRG, the roving unit draws RCMP officers from far-flung areas of Canada to break up protest camps that form in opposition to pipelines, mining projects and logging operations.

Officers with the unit have been widely criticized in recent months for their aggressive tactics in breaking up anti-logging protests near Fairy Creek on Vancouver Island. In addition to making violent arrests and showering unarmed protestors with pepper spray, many of the officers removed all forms of identification from their uniforms during multiple raids.

Removing identification from uniforms in the U.K. often means they are a military unit posing as police. Their gratuitous violence is then used as part of the psyop turning the general public against the police.

Given that the indigenous aren't going to back down, where is this going?

It's an extremely difficult situation for all involved - those fighting for their land and the oil companies that have the right to be there. This land is unceeded and the Band decided to opt out of treaty talks.

This explains more (so that there is more of an understanding of how the struggles started and are evolving): www.culturalsurvival.org...

While some Indegenous participate, this is largely led by Marxist antifa types. At one point, they were twoing junk on rails in the hope od DERAILING TRAINS.

I have no sympathy for these assholes, who are true terrorists and wish them the most violent treatment from the authorities - under Trudeau, of course, this is now unlikely to happen

The violence is coming from the same democrats/leftists that SAY they are acting on behalf of native communities.

Leftists and U.S. democrats must be so proud.

Ugly.

People to the South won't leave so peacefully.
Which is why they can only do it as a very last resort.

Just completed supervision of a section of the Trans Mountain Pipeline on behalf of a First Nation’s Reserve.

It was crossing their land and would be providing a source of revenue for years to come.

No issues. No Demonstrations. A small group of beat nicks showed up however. They tried to speak for the First Nations. Chief and Council told them to get lost and not come back.

Not many people seem to know that Justin’s granddaddy made the family fortune in the oil and gas industry.

Most of the time more money or more land solves the problem. Those two things are in their best interest.

If that doesn’t end it then this is political and is part of a bigger picture.

That kind of action by big industry is unacceptable, they fund groups of people with untraceable cash to crash the protests. Sometimes those paid instigators use techniques to stir up the locals to do their bidding. Buying people drinks in a bar can work them all up if the right kind of brainwashing is used.
