The BMJ has released a meta-study on the effectiveness of mask wearing, social distancing, and other related measures, and how effective (or not) they are at preventing covid transmission.

This is a meta-study so it draws data from 72 studies from around the world.

Are we still in a pandemic…….

That should answer your question on effectiveness.

Are these the same people who told us that the 2 shot vaccine was a ticket to freedom? Then changed their mind when Pfizer figured out they could have forced subscribers for life?

The same ones trying to convince 'the anti vax' to get the gene therapy, whilst trying to discuss the merits of continual booster shots as confused masses line up for shot number 5.....

Maybe the same people who told us that "Impfen macht frei", that you get your freedom back if you get the jab(then the jabs, then the boosters...)?

Salzburg and Upper Austria announce lockdown for everyone

Even for the "freedom jabbers".

Impfen macht frei, that's a good one.

For those that don't get it, "Arbeit macht frei" "Work means freedom" was written in iron letters above the entrance to Dachau, a concentration camp.

"Vaccine means freedom"
"Impfen macht frei"

Masks are like condoms. They only protect you if you use them.

I'll be sure to tell my Rabbi that you think the two are remotely similar.

Never mind there was mandatory social distancing, mandatory lockdowns, and mandatory enforced mask mandates.

And masks used in junction with with vaccines.

Still in a pandemic.

You lose again.

And yet we have plenty of people on this site alone who proudly announce they never wore a mask, socially distanced, and are not vaccinated.

So clearly these things were not as mandatory as you claim. Thus the issue.

The highest risk environment for Covid transmission is in the home (Link) which coincidentally is the place where you are least likely to wear a mask or socially distance.

And as we all know, people simply aren't wearing masks or socially distancing very much any more.

I am one of them. By testing so far, never had covid.

So. How was me ever wearing a mask ever effective.

Anyway…

For masks that actually work, this needs to happen.

Medical Clearance and Fit-test Procedures for N95 Masks – COVID-19

oshareview.com...

As part of the respiratory protection requirements, employees must be medically cleared to don a tight-fitting respirator, which includes surgical N95 masks, and the mask must be fit tested to the user. This article details the medical clearance and fit-test procedures.

Medical Clearance

Wearing a respirator can put an extra burden on the body. People with underlying medical conditions may put themselves at risk if they work while wearing one. Therefore, Cal/OSHA requires a medical evaluation before any employee can wear a respirator. There are three steps to the respirator medical clearance:

Provide mask users with a confidential medical clearance questionnaire (Appendix B to Cal/OSHA’s ATD Standard), which must be reviewed by a licensed healthcare provider (LHP).
Depending on the results of the questionnaire, the LHP will either clear the employee for N95 use with no restrictions or refer the employee to a follow-up, in-person medical evaluation.
If an in-person evaluation is indicated, then following the evaluation, the employee is cleared for respirator use with no restrictions, cleared with restrictions, or isn’t cleared for any respirator usage.

The piece of $hit masks most people wear don’t do crap…

Maybe that's why Covid is still a thing.

People wearing substandard masks doesn't prove that masks are a crock, it proves that cheap masks are a crock.
