There you are, running away from me again, into the shadows.
Here I am, the ghosts of the past have arrived, they are knocking.

There you are, closing the doors.
Here I am, opening the new doors.

Here I am. I am you!

You are not me! I hate what you are!

There we were again, nice to meet you.

I enjoyed your duality and play on words....

I enjoyed it, you should think about participating maybe in one of our Writers contests (which so happens we have one going on right now).

Thanks for reading and clearing up my confusion over which forum to post in

I didn't actually discover the short stories section on ATS until quite recently whilst under lockdown.
Some really good writers on here.
That's why ill probably just stick to reading for the most part when it comes to competitions

Like Johnny said, you are in the right place.
You poem fits right in, we do have other threads that are not contest entries.

I hope you post here more often, and someday even decide to try your hand at entering our periodic contests.
