Haddock and twice fried chips.

Fried in beef tallow of course and don’t forget to put Dill in the batter....

Just sayin....😎

I like Rock Salmon. A polite way to say Dogfish.

But I still like it.

Absolutey right

Irresponsible journalism, as always.

Just encouraged panic buying.

Meanwhile, here in the UK, there is now a shortage of sperm donors.

Why? Because all the w@nkers are at petrol stations.....

Or, you could just fill it with Super Unleaded like I do with my old Mk 1 MX-5?

Many British gas stations were still dry on Friday after a chaotic week that saw panic buying, fights at the pumps and drivers hoarding fuel in water bottles after an acute shortage of truck drivers strained supply chains to breaking point.

Shortages of workers in the wake of Brexit and the COVID pandemic have sown disarray through some sectors of the world's fifth largest economy, disrupting deliveries of fuel and medicines and even raising fears of a mass cull of livestock.

British ministers have for days insisted the crisis is abating or even over, though retailers said more than 2,000 gas stations were dry and Reuters reporters across London and southern England said dozens of pumps were still closed.

whom will we believe, the government or the people actually selling the gas?

I fear this sort of thing will get worse. 'green energy' isn't going away.

I was finally able to fill the car yesterday at 2pm, with only a wait of 10 minutes and just the one entitled prat in a Range Rover trying (and failing) to queue-jump. By 7pm the petrol station was out of all fuels again.
Complete and total madness.

Full tank for me. Bit of an issue here but mainly caused by media, for a change.

But yeah, not too hard getting fuel where I am.

More media lies! I read a twitter post the other day which read,” if the media can fool you into running the country out of petrol within a couple of weeks, imagine what they could make you do in a couple of years.”. Food for thought!

Were you able to 'fill it up' though?
I believe most petrol stations are only allowing £30 max.

I thought they might be, well paid that is, even just working on a forecourt isn't that bad pay-wise. The shortage which isn't seems to have been going on for a while,If the price of energy in general has gone up then it figures that petrol would go up as well. Simply because they would not want you running a house cheaper with a honda generator than buying it down the wires.I feel there might be more to this.

Do you not see the irony in your post?

, she doesn't need it because she's nearly out of petrol she just wants to fill her tank.

She did not actually say that though.....
She did say that if she runs out 'how am I going to get to work'.

For what it's worth. I had to call Green Flag roadside assistance. I got an automated message stating that "Because of the fuel shortage they would not be able to supply fuel to customers who have run out.

We have a Toyota Yaris and I already had 50 miles of fuel in the tank. However, tomorrow I'm driving to my parents, who live 67 miles away, so getting there and back was preying on my mind. £35 of fuel was fine, plus Dad told me that there are few issues where they are, deep in the wilds of Essex.
