They don't actually seem to be bothering to be hiding anything about that from us?

It's all freely available.

You need proof ivermectin is FDA approved? You can google that yourself.

No one disputes that ivermectin as a treatment for Covid is an off-label use...but there's nothing illegal or unusual about that.

I did. And did not get anywhere.

It's been claimed on here that it is FDA approved so just asking.

As that seems to be too much to ask I won't bother.

Thanks for your kindness.

Thanks. So it was FDA approved in 1998? For what?

I'm assuming that was not for Covid 19 back then?

So is it FDA approved for Covid 19?

Which was what was claimed on here which is what I queried?

Ivermectin has some pretty interesting potential side effects including rare cases of hepatitis.

I've not seen much mention of side effects when it's been discussed as a remedy for covid 19 on here.

Yet there is all this noise on here about how the vaccines are untested, experimental, etc?

Sounds like double standards to me.

So, the OP claimed it was FDA approved.

A bit misleading, no?

a reply to: nonspecific

Im hearing a lot of people are ending up in emergency rooms or having to call poison hotlines(whatever the hell those are) down to taking the Ivermectin for animals, Horses in particular.

Now i get that 42% of the nation manage to tick the obesity box but they are not the size of horse hence there predicament.

"a horse is a horse of course of course
and no one can talk to a horse of course" even if their name is Mr Ed.

I hope Ivermectin does work nonspecific, but not in the doses some people are taking.

It's FDA-approved. That is correct. It's not misleading unless the OP wrote 'it's FDA approved for use in treating Covid-19.'

It is FDA-approved and may be prescribed for off-label use like treating Covid.

Its just another TMPRSS2 protease inhibitor. Blocking the same enzyme that is blocked using Ivermectin to interrupt the reproduction cycle. A different drug it may be, but no different than ivermectin in its function. Saying they are different drugs is only as significant as saying all cholinesterase-inhibitors are different. Some of these drugs target different areas of the body, but effectively perform the same task.

Ugh.

I sure hope not. If they are, then they are stupid as hell. The best way to stave off COVID19 is to stop being a fatass.

I don't read every thread on ATS.

Honestly, I'm glad I didn't read that one. Whoever that poster is isn't thinking clearly and is giving into the fear mongering.

Sad to say, yes. They were discussing how they figure out how much to take since they don't weigh over 1000 pounds. Crazy times! Don't trust docs and science but sure I'll take horse dewormer! Makes no sense.

It's not misleading because it's true.
