We need to have some really good companies following those lawmakers around. Watching their wives and mistresses, and daughters. Let's see how many of them we can catch scurrying off to mexico to make sure they don't become daddy or grandpa.

So the left got a dose of their own medicine and are whining about it. That about sums up this conversation.

Why would they want to ban abortions? imagine the amount of unwanted children put into the system.... That's why they want to ban abortions.

It's child trafficking

Sex strikes have been proven to work with pretty much 100% success when crazy laws designed to strip women of basic rights, safety and healthcare. It's at least 2000 years old and has stopped a few decade long wars when all other attempts to get men to negotiate peace deals failed.

Though I 'm pretty sure it's legal to rape animals in Texas so I'm not sure how effective it would be in a place that backwards.

Umm let's say we have a 14 yr old rape victim.
Anyone who helps her get over the state line is open for an expensive lawsuit aren't they.
Do you think it is wise for any 12, 13, 14 year old to start walking alone to the Oklahoma border?

Whatever that elephant you are talking about, it must have been in that room for a few decades.

In that scenario, she can legally get an abortion in Texas. Six weeks isn't a long enough time for some women, because they may not yet know at that time that they are pregnant. A young girl who is raped should get tested long before the 6 weeks.

eta: Aside from that, what the hell are you talking about? A lawsuit from whom? It's not illegal to travel to another State to get an abortion. Texas Law applies to what happens in Texas.

Child. Molesters often threaten little girls to get them to be quiet.

“My body, my choice” Oh nvm, we forgot we threw that out the window months ago. I never really cared about a woman’s choice for abortion, but now I really don’t care if you get my gist.

My eyes are bad and I am on my cell.
I posted another version on the other thread.
The only exception I see is when the life of the mother is at risk. Later, when it is telling doctors how they should document the abortions, they mention "medical emergencies" .
I didn't see where in the law it gave the defination of medical emergency and I still ain't sure if something that might be considered a medical emergency would be exempted under the law.
I highly doubt if it is gonna be clear to the bounty hunters who are gonna be too blinded by the dollar signs floating in front of their eyes.

Actually is a provision for all of the above mentioned incest rape and minors in the new law.

The law is quite complete and does not ban anything, it holds the clinics and the physicians liable for the procedure and to be licensed and they report all the details of the abortion in the patients medical records.

From the law

ABORTION AND SONOGRAM ELECTION
(1) THE INFORMATION AND PRINTED MATERIALS DESCRIBED BY
SECTIONS 171.012(a)(1)-(3), TEXAS HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE, HAVE BEEN
PROVIDED AND EXPLAINED TO ME.
(2) I UNDERSTAND THE NATURE AND CONSEQUENCES OF AN
ABORTION.
(3) TEXAS LAW REQUIRES THAT I RECEIVE A SONOGRAM PRIOR
TO RECEIVING AN ABORTION.
(4) I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE THE OPTION TO VIEW THE
SONOGRAM IMAGES.
(5) I UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE THE OPTION TO HEAR THE
HEARTBEAT.
(6) I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM REQUIRED BY LAW TO HEAR AN
EXPLANATION OF THE SONOGRAM IMAGES UNLESS I CERTIFY IN WRITING TO
ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:
___ I AM PREGNANT AS A RESULT OF A SEXUAL ASSAULT,
INCEST, OR OTHER VIOLATION OF THE TEXAS PENAL CODE THAT HAS BEEN
REPORTED TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES OR THAT HAS NOT BEEN
REPORTED BECAUSE I REASONABLY BELIEVE THAT DOING SO WOULD PUT ME AT
RISK OF RETALIATION RESULTING IN SERIOUS BODILY INJURY.
___ I AM A MINOR AND OBTAINING AN ABORTION IN ACCORDANCE
WITH JUDICIAL BYPASS PROCEDURES UNDER CHAPTER 33, TEXAS FAMILY
CODE.
___ MY UNBORN CHILD [FETUS] HAS AN IRREVERSIBLE MEDICAL
CONDITION OR ABNORMALITY, AS IDENTIFIED BY RELIABLE DIAGNOSTIC
PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTED IN MY MEDICAL FILE.

Also the bounty hunters can they really bring civil suit against the pregnant female ?

Sec. 171.208. CIVIL LIABILITY FOR VIOLATION OR AIDING OR
ABETTING VIOLATION. (a) Any person, other than an officer or
employee of a state or local governmental entity in this state, may
bring a civil action against any person who:
(1) performs or induces an abortion in violation of
this subchapter;
(2) knowingly engages in conduct that aids or abets
the performance or inducement of an abortion, including paying for
or reimbursing the costs of an abortion through insurance or
otherwise, if the abortion is performed or induced in violation of
this subchapter, regardless of whether the person knew or should
have known that the abortion would be performed or induced in
violation of this subchapter; or
(3) intends to engage in the conduct described by
Subdivision (1) or (2).

Everyone knows it’s just funny watching you guys squirm when we call out the hypocrisy. I’ve done my part here, I’ll let the whine fest continue.
