wow! 20 years.
it sounds so long ago, but really its been a blink of the eye.

I forgot how good those movies were.

My favorite has to be Interstellar.
Ive watched it at least 100 times.

Ordinarily I would say Apocalypse Now (Redux). However, I recently watched Lincoln, and that is a spectacular film! Day Lewis knocks it right out of the park as Lincoln! I actually had to consciously remind myself on several occasions that it was an act, and not really Lincoln himself.

Blade Runner was a great film also. I thought the sequel, Blade Runner 2049, was one of the best sequels to a film ever done.

Silent Running was another good one.

Funny you would mention this, my wife and I were discussing this movie just last night. Yes I have seen it.

Gangs of New York was another great one for him.

Don't forget 'In the name of the father'!
Arguably his best performance of all imo👍🏼

This is a tough one. I like a lot of movies, but if I have to pick one, it's 'Interstellar'

First time I watched it, as soon as it ended, I thought, "Wow. That's the best movie I've ever seen." and I haven't changed my mind since. I wish that first time had been in the theater though.

That movie cost me a bottle of vodka and 6 cans of red bull.. I was not going to miss a thing.. and it was indeed mad. DDL is a magician, and as the butcher in Gangs of New York.. man, make that 2 bottles of vodka !!

I should have mentioned that also. Great movie.

I particularly liked how they even got some of the physics right.

I'm the same way with Blade Runner. I think I saw parts of it when I was younger, but it's been long enough that I don't really remember it.

It's been on my watch list for a long time, but for some reason I still have not yet gotten around to watching it. I will.... sometime.

If I have to pick only one movie, this is THE ONE :

Soundtrack : Toto and Brian Eno.

Producer Dino De Laurentiis

Director : David Lynch.

Based in a Frank Herbert novel.

Many European actors but also Americans.

You'll see Patrick Steward as a warrior. Sean Young steaming hot. Sting (yeah, from the rock band "Police"), as a bad guy. Jose Ferrer, beautiful Francesca Annis,...., oh man, you don't know what are you missing.

I find it hard to have just one favorite,as there are so many great movies.
A few that I love an could watch forever have been mentioned-Original Bladerunner,2049,and Dune.
Oh and I loved apocalypto too.

The Alien Franchise-OK 3 and 4 may not be 10/10 but I still love that universe, and I include the 2 newer ones-I just love the ambiance, and Michael Fassbenders Android character is fantastic as the droid who has decided-on the quiet-that he hates humans and believes he can "improve" them with some nice xenomorph DNA.

Fight Club-A masterpiece, and best film of the 90s IMO-Funny,weird,powerful,resonant messages, great characters-especially Helena Bonham carters and Meatloaf!

Platoon-Oliver Stones Vietnam Anti war movie is just a gut punch of a film.

The Matrix-although looking quite dated already-the message is maybe more apt than ever IMO.

The Abyss-such a great underwater/sci fi movie.

Bad Taste-Peter Jackson made this long before he even thought about Lord of the rings-classic low budget OTT alien invasion movie based in NZ with some very odd characters.

Lost Highway/Mullholland Drive-David Lynch at his weirdest and best, can't go wrong.

District 9,great alien movie and Wikus van der mere is a great yet tragic character who at first the audience may find to be an a-hole,but we sort of end up feeling bad for the guy.

Thats all I can think of for now.

(Shawshank Redemption)...the best prison movie I have ever seen. It tells so much about what really goes on in prisons. The humanity of man and the extreme cruelty of man; the bravery and the sorrow.
