Virginia teacher resigns at school board meeting, denounces 'highly politicized agendas'

A Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) teacher in Virginia resigned in front of the school board Tuesday, stating in a defiant and emotional speech that she refused to continue pushing their "highly politicized agendas."

"Within the last year, I was in one of my so-called equity trainings that White, Christian, able-bodied females currently have the power in our schools and ‘this has to change,’" teacher Laura Morris said during the public comment period of the board meeting.

"Clearly, you've made your point. You no longer value me or many other teachers you've employed in this county. So since my contract outlines the power that you have over my employment in Loudoun County Public Schools, I thought it necessary to resign in front of you."

A woman who says she's a Loudoun County teacher just broke into tears addressing the school board saying she would not honor the transgender pronoun policy because of her faith and she told the board she was quitting her job, right there on the spot.

"School board, I quit," she said. Choking up, she added: "I quit your policies, I quit your training, and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas to our most vulnerable constituents – children."

Morris, a fifth-grade teacher, also alleged that the county told her not to express dissenting views.

This is sad...
In my personal opinion, I believe this is a big part of what is wrong with this country and why it's all going to "hell in a hand basket"

More people need to take a stand like this,
and not be to afraid to express their opinions and beliefs
and should not be made to feel so ashamed In the process...

And It's not just with the
"transgender pronoun policies"
This happens with anything that goes against the so called "Official narratives"
(bias politicized agendas)

Do not be ashamed of your beliefs or opinions and be to afraid to express them
Do not be afraid to take a stand and make your voice heard...

or doing anything you feel strongly against
You have a mind your not stupid like they want you to believe
you can think and do for yourself...

and for us parents we should be the ones raising our kids the way we feel is right not the school systems or the states or anyone else for that matter...
Good parents know what's best for there kids and we should not have to deal with the school systems or society shoving politicized agendas or vaccinations or anything else that's completely unnecessary down there throats...

This is still America dammit!!!

I didn't hear her say anything about transgender anything in the video you linked but I have a bad attention span, I was watching this while my big ass german shep puppy was trying to fit his huge ass under my tiny desk. He needed a bit of his head scratched.

I'm sure at one point the Church didn't want teachers teaching that the Earth went around the Sun. There's always an agenda.

But if FACTS are being taught, so be it. Not everyone like facts. Especially Republicans. They like conjecture and opinion.

The school boards and teacher's unions are infested with petty tyrants and communists. The one thing that they need though is a head count in their class rooms. Deny them that and they will lose funding, and boy do commies hate to lose their grip on the money they are provided. They'll never change either, so enrollment will never bounce back once you take the students from them for being what they really are, communist tyrants.

This is "opinion" of course, and any proof offered will be hard to prove on anything but an individual basis with specific examples of how these boards rule on certain issues like CRT, sexual choice and race issues. Something I rather not look into as it seems obvious to me and likely many teachers as well. If any teacher were to voice their opinion on the direction of the school board they'd be fired. Parents will not be able to voice their opinions at board meetings either as they will get escorted out and/or the meeting will be conducted in private afterward.

First I've never heard of "the church" opposing the teaching of the earth revolving around the Sun so no comment there...

Hopefully many of the white teachers will quit like she did. White, Christian females make up the majority of who get the education needed to teach. That's why they "have the power in the schools". It'd be funny to see the school district trying to find enough minorities with a 4 year degree and teaching credentials. Nevermind, they will just drop those racist requirements.

I don't have to be Christian to agree with what this young lady did. She took a stand on her convictions, and she did it the right way. The left would have convulsive fits if she were teaching Christianity in the classroom, but they don't mind pushing their own religion into young malleable minds.
