That's like blaming gun companies for the fact that people have been abusing their technology to commit felonies.

Can't seem to stay on topic, huh?

We were reminding you "which freedoms and individual liberties were taken"... remember?

Except all those were taken away under Trump... previous to this administration taking over.

Correct. Trump didn't fight hard enough to keep things open, states used their 10th Amendment rights to defend against anything Trump could do, and state governors (with the exception of a few) ruined livelihoods, lives, destroyed businesses, all for more power and control under the big lie of "public safety".

Actually, if you'll recall, assuming for the moment you actually want to, it was the various state governors and legislatures that forced closures that ruined small businesses in the hundreds, if not more. Not Trump, though, yes it was during his administration.

Under Trump is a bit misleading. Yes, he was President of the US.. not Governor of XYZ State. 10th amendment makes clear the federal government is not to infringe on the states right to self govern except where authorized by Constitutional authority invested exclusively to the fed government

Trump should have sent in the military to prevent rogue state governors (MI, among many others) from infringing on the rights of their citizens, but he did not. So you had the likes of Whitmer ruining livelihoods while vacationing and trying to get her private boat towed to the lake when others were banned (by her) of doing so.

Thanks to the nifty invention called "PGP" that is not true

Add TOR to the mix and they can't even see who you are sending encrypted messages to

Defeating the NSA dragnet is simple

PGP is barely a speed bump nowadays for a nation-state.

No comment at all on TOR.

PGP is very secure and the best option most of us have

Sure you can use Truecrypt but that involves exchanging passwords

But if you don't trust it, use the one time pad in conjunction with PGP

PGP is perfect for most types of communications.

Very few have buildings full of modern super computers.

PGP must be avoided if worried about a nation-state (or similar).

Key is unimportant to this.

Only a Speedbump without.

Didn't mean to imply anything else.
