The phrase "the map is not the territory" springs to mind.
I've never heard that phrase before, but it's brilliant! And this as well:
Fear of failure is worse than actual failure and fear doesn't teach many lessons.
There is this idea that "failure" is final, rather than just the beginning -- or an intrinsic part -- of growing and learning and expanding.
Who was it that said failure is just a lesson in what will not work? Einstein? Mark Twain? I don't remember now...
Everything is (or can be) a lesson and another step in realizing success. But only if we can see it and put it to good use.

Yes, you said something vaguely similar on this thread.
Given that you are interested in sincere discussion then what do you think of political correctness?

I'm probably one of the least politically correct people you'll meet.
You're getting a greatly toned down version of my real self.

What ever happened to, “I disagree with what you said but will defend to the death your right to say it “?
Saddly, those days have been numbered and declared obsolete. We are
entering a brave new world of maniacal crybabies who are easily triggered.

Im offended that you have to tone down.
Me too, some of the things I can't tell you are so funny because they are so inappropriate.
Would be interested in any opinions out there (offended or otherwise).

You seem to have a warped sense of humor that could have an affect on
other members.Again, those pesky T&C's claim another victory over any
inappropriate postings.
