Honestly, have you seen brain-washing and repetitive programming on your TV? Why would anyone choose to watch such guff?

In general, I don't watch that much TV, especially of free-to-air programming.

I pre-select what I want to watch because, you know, the Internet and online delivery. I also get to pick content from many countries, it isn't stuff promulgated by some government propaganda bureau.

The thing is, though, people aren't really being brain-washed by TV shows. I want you to think about what shows you have watched that are doing that.

My guess is that it would be very obvious and people would not watch those sorts of broadcasts and those shows would get lousy ratings, which would make the advertisers not fund the TV providers, and would get the shows cancelled quickly. That is the way capital-centric media operates.

This COVID-19 thing is like other epidemics and pandemics down through history. Just another pointless cause of death.

The difference is that these days, we can do something about these sorts of contagion. Or, some people can just do nothing.

I always wondered about those tribes who live in deserts and eke out a meager living in a harsh environment. I mean, why don't they just move to where crops grow and the weather is mild?

I suppose it is the same where people don't have the sense to take care of themselves and they just stay there, in harms way, out of apathy and/or stupidity.

Its called habit. When people have done a thing for generation upon generation. It simply becomes a way of life, or a habit ingrined in there DNA even. So ya. Asking why don't the Kalahari bushmen move to the big city is like asking why you all believe and do everything the talking box says.

The answer is, habit. And social conditioning. It does not happen overnight. Which is why lets see what coming generations have to say about there yearly shots and injections. I mean, they can just not take them. Just like you all can just not get the jab.

Somebody said that in old times the kids in indian communtities were given tabac to smoke whenever the flu hit their community. I am not sure this is true but it makes sense knowing nicotine is a very powerful drug....poison.

The thing is, I'm not informed by social media alone.

I consider the scientific, medical, and governmental authorities, across many nations, to have superior credibility to people who post stuff ONLY on social media.

Part of the reason for that is that on social media, everything is totally unmoderated. Up until recently, there was almost no constraint on what is posted there. Less even than that, social media has no filtering attitude of disbelief until verified, or veracity checking. It is inherently and structurally designed to broadcast any BS that will get 'likes'.

As an information source, it is unbelievable.

In Australia, and Canada, and New Zealand, and other countries, lockdowns have proven effective. And in countries like Sweden that tried not locking down, it was a public health disaster.

But declaring a lockdown, by itself, does nothing if it comes too late, or if people flout it, thinking it is some sort of superficial thing. A lock-down is part of a multi-faceted response to stop the spread of an epidemic pathogen.

However, you won't have to wait much more...

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Research Center Dashboard, 294,630,899 doses of vaccine have been administered in the USA. So that is nearly the entire US population of 332,794,872 that has received at least one dose.

This is probably why the mask restrictions have been relaxed by the CDC and the lock-downs are over/ending, because the US government and medical authorities consider that herd immunity has been attained.
