It's an article about the exit interviews of Portland, Oregon police when they quit the force.

One officer's quote:
"Additionally, the mayor and council ignore actual facts on crime and policing in favor of a radical leftist and anarchist fantasy."

"The only difference between the Titanic and PPB? Deck chairs and a band."

A training officer who left said officers were "de-policing out of fear of being accused of excessive force."

Anyway. Homicide and car theft are way up. Last year when Governor Brown asked nearby counties to send officers to help with the protests and stuff, they all declined. Refused to send their officers into a situation where they would not be allowed to arrest anyone, and those they could arrest would probably not be tried for anything.

Yea, just about anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together saw this coming.

Don't worry. Social workers will soon be out to respond to 911 calls.

Another example of becareful what you wish for...

If a person really wants to defund the police and is holding a sign to defund the police, should they be banned for calling or using the police?

Since those who advocate for defunding the police are also often open for creating lists of all sorts, why not just blacklist them?

Just send them to a voice mail, a beep and ten seconds later after they are half into explaining their situation, they get interrupted telling them "too bad for you" and redirect them to someone else that wanted to defund the police.

Let them figure it out together that it was a bad idea.

Don't worry, we will be much safer when we have a fully federalized police force to keep us safe. /sarcasm

That is what the whole defund and hatred towards the police being socially engineered is all about. Remember it wasn't too long ago that the Bidens were trying to get rid of Sheriff's thru out the US? Surprisingly enough they are the only elected law officers we have left.

Low police numbers are a good thing. They should focus on a real crime instead of running around with tickets, policing you with leftist policies. As long as you have your guns it's not a major problem. No problem except for #holes

Low police numbers are a good thing.

Tell that to some of the major cities whose crime rates are soaring. Cops are quitting because they're not allowed to actually do their job and are being put under a microscope for every thing they do.

Look at Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, Seattle etc. Crime rates through the roof. The Liberals want to defund the police and then whine because they don't feel safe. You can't have it both ways.

Maybe it would be better if their phone call could be redirected right back to themselves. So then when they answer their now incoming call, a recording of those initial 10 seconds could be replayed directly back to them.

Being 20 mins from downtown Portland, but across the river in the red side of WA I say F them. They deserve what they get...Cops are not the only ones leaving...You can sell your house on my side in a day and well above the asking price...I use to spend about 500 bucks a month in Portland...haven't spent a cent in a year now...

Ummm hey guys uhh yea could we maybe watch the triggering language here?

Don't you know that's a white supremacist term these days?

jmla.pitt.edu...

www.adexchanger.com...

He explained that it didn’t matter that the etymology of the terms had nothing to do with racism. The term blacklist was first used in the early 1600s to describe a list of those who were under suspicion and thus not to be trusted, he explained. But regardless of the words’ origins, my colleague went on to impress upon me the discomfort he felt everyday living in a world where black was equated with bad and white with good.

See, even though it wasn't originally racist, it's now racist because it hurts people's feelings...

Yep and by the #ScumMedia and the Democrats focusing on the police and race it puts into shadows the real issue. That would be Democrat policies!

Fun facts, the crime ridden places around the country are cities ran by Democrats, which is also why they're crime ridden areas because they're run by Democrats. So the Democrat voters will get to live in their own misery. A little disconnected, but once they officially rip this country apart soon, it will be everyone for themselves and yet they happen to be the anti-gun crowd as well...good times.
