This crime, done some time ago, but just making news today...

Apparently, this young lady was more concerned with partying, and social life than caring for her little girl....

It just blows me away that some young parents are doing things like this.

Incredibly long story title, but there you have it.

A mother who went on a six-day bender leaving her baby to starve to death took to social media to sell concert tickets on the day the body was found - before campaigning to become a model

Verphy Kudi's daughter Asiah perished in a flat at a 'supported housing' block in Brighton in December 2019 after being left alone for six days with no food or water.

A serious case review has been launched into the 20-month-old baby's death after she was abandoned by her mother who went to London, Coventry and Solihull to celebrate her 18th birthday.

It says the young mother was also trying get started in modelling, etc.

She is a very lovely young lady, but this epic crime will "end" her aspirations I reckon.

I can't imagine what was going through this young ladies mind when she decided to go partying for 6 days without making arrangements, (at least), for her daughter!

I find the fact she would take off for 6 days, is pretty lame, if she had sorted out a babysitter even...

But to just "piss off" for 6 days, no food or water for the little child..... well, some people are quite desirable of the "Kardashian Lifestyle", and want that sort of mental rot to make them rich too.

She suffers from the Kardashian Syndrome..... Yes, a NEW psychological "condition" term invented by yours truly.

It would probably really be named "Social Media Influencer Syndrome". I do honestly reckon it is a for reals "disease" of the mind folks..

For all I know, it is probably already "listed" in the wonky psychological diseases book.

You just cringe, and tear up when you think what this poor little girl had to endure whilst her mother was off mucking around in the pubs and dealing concert tickets..

Pretty selfish of this young lady.... to the point of a form of slow murder.... She is in deep doo doo.

My condolences to the grand parents, and other relatives affected by this tragedy.

That's, horrible.. there was no reason for her to do that. I would of loved to adopted the little girl... Since healthcare stripped me of my fertility.

There are millions of women just like me who would of taken that baby in a heart beat.

There is a right way, and a wrong way. She could of easily dumped the child off at a fire station or church, or ANY hospital. No questions asked for the first two.

Her mother should of swollowed that load of stupid crap.

To many of these stories, that is why I say early abortion is better than babies suffering at the hands of teen parents in many cases, unwanted, unloved, hurt and abused. That creates a whole new generation of angry mentally unstable people.

But they adopt kids out to two Fathers or Mothers seemingly effortlessly . A nice Family I know wanted a child and they put them through hell and many thousands of dollars after a long long process they finally adopted.

Meh, fk that. I will create a registry for everyone who wants to adopt a kid. There there will be NO NEED to ever have a baby suffer.

Only thing they need to do is hand over parental rights to the child. No thousands of dollars in fines, as adoption cost upwords of 40-50grand.. which can put those kids through school.

All signups will be background checked, and must have several references. Bam problem solved.

Tinder for parents to adopt your unwanted child. None of this private adoption bs that hides pedophiles, and child abusers... because no matter what one day that kid WILL reach out to the birth parent to ask why.

The adopted parents will remain public knowledge, only the minor has the option to stay hidden, as well as special circumstance adults. (Rape victims, police protection, etc).


This NEEDS to be done, so we can get the government out of our personal lives, and have them stop deciding who is fit to be a parent, instead of society. Which in this case, is any adult willing to adopt a child without receivng financial aid from the government for said child. Which is the biggest motivators for bad people adopting children.

As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. Not the birth parents.

Two thoughts on that:

1. Hell, no, she's not a "lovely young lady!" She's a sick, hideous piece of excrement. Nothing lovely about her. Just disgusting.

2. Given recent events and the general state of mind of the public, she'll probably get a fat modeling contract and a big Gofundme payoff. Mayhap even a lucrative movie contract for her story.

She had options and chose to let that innocent baby girl die. Horrific.

In regards to number two, there's got to be a university here that will erect a statue for her.
She'll probably get praised for her brave devotion to modelling.
There are many many girls in the UK just like her.
Fathers are inconvenient.
A young girl with a baby is almost guaranteed to receive benefits so it's an attractive option for some.....until the baby interrupts their social life then.....well, you know.

Horrific? Yes.
Shocking? Not today. Not in the UK.

The Social Services in Brighton are run by politicians keen to get re-elected for having cut council tax billings.

Social Services have been reduced to next to nothing, and the death of this child is nothing to the decision makers who view it as an 'acceptable risk' in managing council tax against lost votes.

There is no Police Officer or Ambulance Person across the country who will not tell you they are increasingly doing the work of Social Sevices.

'Kardashian Syndrome' is absolutely right - but who was there to pick up on it happening?

Look into this girls life and you will find dysfunctional familly like you would never believe.

Where were her parents? And failing that where were Social Sevices?

I personally know of mothers of 6 who are planning there 21st birthday 'Weekender'. These kids keep having babies because....well they like having babies, coz they get noticed for a while.

They have experienced no concept of parenting. The Kardashian are the closest to a Familly they know.

As a society we failed that baby.

When push comes to shove we prefer to buy more stuff than pay the tax to fund Social Care that might actually break the cycle that led to her birth.

Be outraged, but don't lose sleep on over it.

I understand where you are coming from, and all that; but I didn't want to go down that road, if you know what I mean.

I imagine the judge and jury will rake her over the coals when the time comes for sentencing....

It just goes to show you that beauty is truly only skin deep. She does have a lovely countenance but what is "inside" this girl is not worth much of a mention.

Terribly sad story.

Good question, it went through my mind as well, where was the father? Yep, we don't know that answer.... living a completely seperate life? Dead? In jail? Busy getting another young lady pregnant?

I think this is even worse than leaving your kid in the car..... even though that stupid move usually winds up killing a little child too.

Another poster here said something about grandparents... Yep, that went through my mind especially... here in Oz, that is usually option #1, if you gotta go somewhere and need someone you can trust to watch the kid/kids....

Grandma is pretty hard to beat. Most grandmothers would almost want the kid all the time anyhow! Ha!

Yes, tragic news hits us all the time about kids left in the car seat... unbelievable.... but it happens every dang year.

We had a small rash of kids in cars death again this last summer too in Australia....

I can only go by my experiences as a parent... which is "dating me", because both of my kids were raised wearing CLOTH diapers, with those deadly safety pins! And we had the old diaper pail in the laundry room, etc..

My children's mother was a good mother and watched over them like a hawk. We both always knew where the kids were.

Both of my kids NEVER had a dose of diaper rash either. And yes, we had a heap of diapers to do/wash all the time..Ha!

It is like another poster here said too... That she would have adopted that little girl in a heartbeat. I imagine there are a heap of folks who would have adopted this little girl. So terribly sad.

I find it hard to believe this mother was so stupid as to think it would be ok to piss off for 6 days, and the kid would be fine!

Surely no person is that stupid, right? Well, you would think not..sigh..

What is even more sad, this is just the story that made the news.

I shudder to think how many stories are just as sad that don't get the coverage this one did. Poor little kids.... it does break yer heart.

She just might find herself in prison for a very long time, and rightly should I reckon.

Little kids are so precious... they need to be CAREFULLY guarded over until they start school.

Some things you can't let happen even one time. Like you CAN'T forget your kid in the car even one time! Because if they don't die, they stand a good chance to be major brain damaged etc.

I normally don't post stories like this, but the sheer jaw drop I had, and grief... for the little kid, and being totally unable to understand how someone could do that to a kid, any kid, let alone her own daughter.

Yeah, I think she should not be allowed to have any kids in the future too.

Bloody hell, people take better care of their gold fish than she did for her daughter.
