the reason we were told to quarantine in the first place is to "flatten the curve". meaning to ease the demand of emergency rooms in hospitals.
Correct. Sort of. And it works.

But people don't want to wear masks. People want to party. Guess what happens?

Hospitals (not emergency rooms) get swamped. That's what happens.

Had a great Christmas eve, 10 family members went to my parents and I'm still here.. I volunteered to go back to work May 4th.. Was off a month, screw that.. always wear a mask at work, it sucks but yes I have respect for others.. We abide by the rules...

1700 people everyday into the plant.. I have not known one and I am all over the place everyday, tou should see the contractors, most do not wear a mask at all...

Everyday since May, I'm in a highly taxed Democrat state.. Illinois, it's not as bad as everyone thinks..

For many. Yes. For others, not so much.

There are very many who require hospitalization. But you're probably good, so don't worry. And hope you don't need ICU care for some other reason. Because beds are scarce in some places.

Lol so swamped nurses have time to do the macarena... Maybe #ty 90's meme dances protect against covid? Makes as much sense as everything else.

A mask is good, but not 100%. Not congregating at all is better.

for people with certain underlying conditions it is a problem. but they would still be at risk with any flu virus. but the way the politicians and media are portraying covid19, makes people want to be hospitalized for a slight fever and a cough. that is a bigger problem than the virus.

Depends on what "working" means. When I go to work I park, put on my mask, get in an elevator (I'll wait for the next if there are more than two of us), go into the suite which my company occupies and into my office in that suite. Then remove my mask. If there is anything other than incidental contact (like in a conference) I will wear my mask. I work for a general contractor. Field workers adapt the protocols as required.

When I am in public I wear a mask. I don't go to bars or restaurants. I don't attend parties.

No, it's not "virtue signaling." It's risk mitigation. It's common sense.

Keep saying the mantra.

And hope you don't require an ICU for say, a car wreck.

Please. Don't let your bias overcome any semblance of rational thought.

People aren't in ICU unless they need to be.
