Nothing evolved to immortality so far.

Why?

What if death has evolutionary advantages that make it an important step?

Just the sheer and utter boredom.

The spirit-soul is immortal, but it did not evolve materially.

Thus if you believe or understand that you are not the body, then you are spirit-soul.

So a part of your conscience is eternal.

To say you "evolved", yes materially.
Like to say you grow up, from a baby to an adult, even in one lifetime.
Changing bodies all the time - look at your photos.

But the spirit-soul is eternal, therefore part of you is eternal!

Some stones have lived as such for a very long time, but yes, the dimension of humans is not meant to be one of immortality. That would defeat it's entire purpose. It is like staying in a hotel. Why would you want to make that your permanent residence when you have a much nicer home?

Immortality would cause overpopulation when not mastered.

What about predators, or disease?

Wouldn't these prevent over population?

To date, there's only one species that has been called "biologically immortal" a type of jellyfish.

Entropy through is a thing meaning molecular disorder is always in the post given a long enough piece of string.

Species adapt to their surrounding but it seems like nothing evolved to survive yet. Maybe evolution built in a gene to counter overpopulation.

Everything adapted very well to die in its surrounding.

After thousands of years we're still in an early stage of evolution, the embryo stage like we havent seen the light yet not even having eyes to see it..

not ever having been born.

What does the future hold?

It's morphin' time!

Evolution is reliant on reproducing before you die. What purpose does immortality serve and how would that affect evolution, when the organisms still pass down genes? If humans are going to solve immortality, it will be via science. Evolution of immortality doesn't really work, since there is nothing to select for, the genes still get passed to offspring.

I'm talking the long haul. Oh, yeah, the first 1,000 years or so would be great. You get to do every fun and interesting you ever wanted to do, as many times as you wanted. Then I'm sure some of the novelty would wear off. Then the horror would begin. Okay, maybe it would become interesting again in another 10,000 years. But I doubt it.

I just have to disagree considering the endless possibilities of
a Supreme Being Father. Think of what he would do to see to
his children's happiness? No one would even have to ask. A
new mortal life with the one you love in a perfect world. We
might need the first thousand years just to witness his glory.

Immortal new bodies that allow us the relationship with him.
One that was meant to be from the beginning of the first Adam
and Eve. The adventures we would have assigned to us under
his guidance. Not just to populate one planet but to seek
out new worlds and fill the universe with mankind. All things
are possible for those who hear his voice and understand.
We need only to endure to the end of this one very short
training period. That separates the wheat from the chaff.

I'm sure boredom we would never even remember.

I get that eerie feeling, that an artificial heaven is in the makings.living on a “cloud”, does that sound familiar?
There is also appleINC with its bitten apple, having two stories one of snow white and her eternal sleep, and Eve eating from the forbidden tree.

Then there is this article from 2011 apple triggers religious feelings

Apple has been pretty quiet lately...

Well, I know me, and I know people, and I'm perfectly fine with admitting I could be wrong. But if what you believe helps live your life better, go right on ahead. If there's something resembling life after this one comes to its horrible conclusion, I'll owe you a Coke.

I wouldn't be able to buy you a coke if I'm wrong.

I agree. Everything we think we know is really probabilities based off evidence. New information or data could change those pretty easily. That's why to me concepts like "absolute truth" are completely incoherent. We are in no position to hold such truths.

We are immortal.
When we disconnect from the matrix our souls return to the source, leaving behind this cybernetic juice box we call a body.
