So I've seen the expense side of $25k per month. Has the revenue side been disclosed? Regardless, I'm assuming a significant delta. If that's the case, what viable revenue model are you guys exploring that would make any 'significant' investment make sense?
The way I read that was $25k per month for 6 months as a temporary monthly expense for making changes to the site so it could be run on AWS for far less than that. The exact amount would have to be determined but after migrating to AWS people were estimating monthly expenses less than half that.

The revenue side, well that's a concern unless Google has another algorithm change to help this problem:

Those green lines represent known changes to Google's algorithm. The last one in early May has essentially de-platformed us from search.

We've always done well with algorithm changes because we play by all the right SEO rules.

FCD took the initiative to start a discord and some members have come together. We still want more. Things were a bit confusing, but it's coming together rapidly and things will start moving forward fast.

We are now on a forum atsworkinggroup.boards.net... specifically for the purpose of planning an offer. Please join this forum ASAP if you wish to be part of this group. The conversation will be heavily moderated/structured and only open to members.

The forum is not designed to be the next ATS, but is to facilitate planning for an offer. This is for people willing to pitch in. We need immediate contributions and contributions through to operation and maintenance.

If you offered or intended to be involved with a significant financial portion please become involved NOW. There is no financial commitment immediately, but we need you as part of due diligence on planning.

Have y'all reached out in the form of crowd funding? Take it to Twitter. Tag some big names, get the word out. I'm sure someone on these forums has a significant following that would reach quite a few, especially with the right @'s and #'s. Idk. Hate to see this site go tits up, I've been around here since 9/11 when I was 15. If I had the monetary ability I'd pay for it all.

We're doing everything we can.

Everybody wants to keep ATS alive.

Frankly, I haven't followed closely all of the details, so I might have missed something. But without some general disclosure of the top line numbers and operating expenses as they stand today, it's just too difficult to assess ATS' financial potential and viability.

Without regard to the numbers, my opinion is 1A message boards are a dying business model. ATS was one of the best moderated boards on the net, but in the span of a few short years, the new 'woke' standard has effectively classed this site as an unwelcome enclave of dangerous speech.

As I have said elsewhere, the # show we are all living through has only just started.

The reason I am participating in this endeavor is because it seems, most people have their heads in the sand.

I have to come here to discuss what’s REALLY going on in the world. AND ween out the fake news.

Wouldn't trust y'all with a dime of my money, and btw way , I have been banned a few times, so no feelings lost there.

Dude, this place has been nothing more than a comment section for MSM news for a few years.

Very little original ideas or findings any more.

Exact details won't be disclosed publicly. In order to see that information as a potential buyer, you have to sign an NDA.

From my understanding of what SO has said, there has been Zero revenue this year.

I'm glad efforts are being made, and don't want to discourage against it.

I was shocked, angry and confused at first. This is my family. Have been for 11 years now, and that's just as a member.

I'm in the acceptance phase now. There's somewhere else we can go, but ATS can never be replaced. The 3 amigos created something great, and eventually all great things must come to an end. No point in stressing them out anymore. They served a purpose, a great one. We all know each other on here as a result. They are tired, they aren't making revenue. Google has made it impossible.

I think it's just time to let go. As hard as that is.

I do hope there is some way to archive ATS. Maybe like a "read only" fashion. Like how you can no longer respond to or star closed threads. But can still access the info.

I will swing by there this weekend busy at work with doggy dog real life buisness. I hope there is some construction put together and a plan. I would also caution anyone looking to give money without explanation. I have been busy so I don’t know where the progress is, I am still, hoping a investor comes with the capital and time to take the site over. I believe that would be the best thing for ats. I am just not sure if a large group of people would be best to all co own this website, once the honeymoon wears off, could face some problems.

Ot trying to poison the well per se. Whatever it takes I suppose.

No money is changing hands. The site is free.

This project is large with many moving parts. Right now the forum is outwardly pretty boring.

We could currently use a person with nonprofit experience. Nonprofit formation and tax related questions have come up and we are tech heavy.

If you have experience and think you could help please join our site or direct message me here.

Although American owned, ATS is an international site with members from all over the world.

Rules for non-profits differ from country to country. I don't have any real working knowledge or experience of UK based NPO's but to set up such an enterprise over here, strict rules must be followed and always involve the organisation existing to benefit others and in some way, have a socially responsible purpose.

As things stand, I cannot see how ATS would meet this criteria?

I really think a case could be made that ATS functions as a:

'therapeutic group social service' for individuals in need of online 'community' interaction -

- due to not being able (a lot of our members do have disabilities) to go out and socialize in their physical' community..

Or something like that...

Sort of a Non-profit 'Group Therapy' website...

Does anyone know how much time we have left before the site is hopefully saved???

In the transparency thread SO said the site has a few months, but not likely through the end of the year. He also said he would be updating everybody if the time approaches. I'm paraphrasing, but it's buried somewhere in the early replies.

Don't lose hope until the shed lights start flickering.

There's some discussion on the site with some topics for input. Registration information is only visible to me, but feel free to use a burner email.
