Time to add another line to The Party's slogan ... 1984

Watching the ebb and flow of discussion on social media and amongst friends and neighbors, I think that another line needs to be added to George Orwell's Party slogan. The idea has always been there, but now it serves us well to make it official:


War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.
Fear is Safety.


Long live the party.

A guest on bill maher last night was saying that the potus should be given more power so that he can take control and centralize the entire economy. He said the governors were just in the way.

# that. I'm glad trump hasn't nationalized anything and that the states have their power still.
I live in florida and my county is doing nothing. 80 infected and 2 dead here. My mother is 64 and has medical issues with her heart.
I want to be free. She knows the risk.

Like I said to a poster earlier, "I do what I want."
And like I have said from the start of this if they give orders to quarantine I am bugging out. I'm not going to be locked up.

They've been buying corporate stocks right and left to prevent Wall Street from outright crashing. It's effectively nationalizing most of our larger corporations. When this is done, we'll actually have that corporatocracy some erroneously fear-mongered we had the past couple of decades.

Kind of a coincidence that this happens once we put a millionaire business mogul in the drivers seat.
Maybe that's why he isn't doing it himself? It's being done in a back room deal. corporatocracy would greatly benefit people like trump.

Not OP... But if I had to take a guess, "the party", or the way I take it the establishment party.

Both wings of the same bird type deal.

I thought 1984 was required reading for access to ATS ; )

Funnily enough, '1984' and 'Brave New World' were both required reading in my Public School Freshman Honors English class ('89-'90.) I wonder if those two tomes are even allowed nowadays...
