CDC Warns To Prepare For Pandemic...Closures May Happen

Just as I suspected.

The CDC probably knows full well that the CoVid-19 coronavirus is in the process of spreading throughout the US.

They were vehemently opposed to having the Americans from the Diamond Princess cruise ship being flown back to the U.S. Could this have been because they knew there were signs of this virus already spreading around the country? CDC doctors were quite aware that the CoVid-19 virus is highly contagious and has a long incubation period. They didn't want to add fuel to the fire, by allowing these cruise passengers back in the States.

Today (Feb 21), the CDC announced they are now preparing for what they see as the “likely” spread of the CoV-19 Cornavirus within the United States.

In a media briefing with reporters, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters Friday that the U.S. is “preparing as if this were the next pandemic, but we are hopeful still that this is not and will not be the case.”

She warned that the “day may come” here where we have to shut down schools and businesses as China has done.

Earlier in the day, World Health Organization officials said they were concerned with reports of a CoV-19 virus outbreak in Iran, where local health officials confirmed 18 new cases and 4 deaths in just two days. The cases were not reported until after the deaths, leading many medical experts to believe there could be a larger outbreak than what is being reported.

We are starting to see some troubling signs the coronavirus outbreak is entering a new phase, with spread outside of Mainland China beginning to rapidly increase.

I don't like pushing "doom porn," but I fear that we are not being told the true number of suspected cases in the United States. We should've banned flights from China back in January. How many infected people were able to enter the US since the virus was first discovered? How many of you actually believe that hospitals in the United States are prepared for this? In 2018/2019, over 600,000 people were hospitalized during the regular flu season. What happens when a nasty pandemic breaks out? How many isolation beds/areas does a normal hospital have? And most importantly, do any of you actually believe what you're being told by the government/CDC in regards to the number of actual CoVid-19 coronavirus cases in the US? I Don't!

I think the Tokyo Olympics will be cancelled, moved soon as well. Who in their right mind would want to travel to that region?

There is at least one confirmed case near my home of Novel Cov. The hospital treated them 2 weeks ago,for self quarantine, and did not tell the public.

Why would you implement a "gag order" if you're being honest and upfront with the American people about this virus? There is some serious covering up going on in order to hide the truth. I don't trust the information that's being told to us. The fact that the CDC is just now mentioning "pandemic" is a red flag.

If,as I have read-some people who recover are getting the virus again(potentially it hasn't left their system even though they recover)then what does that make the incubation period?
Does that mean the same person can go on infecting others over and over,even after they recover?
I hope not,that seems very serious and not like a "normal" bug.

Excellent point. Not only can a recovered person continue to spread the disease, if they get it for the 2nd time, it hits harder, often causing their death. Seems that the only way to prevent future cases is with a vaccine...a vaccine that needs to be proven reliable. How long before that happens??

I live a few miles away from Arrowe Park Hospital which has been made the chosen quarantine facility in the UK.
We were discussing why Arrowe Park a couple of days ago and I could not get away from the geographical location in relation to an enforced quarantine. Sitting on a small peninsula and surrounded on three sides by water it makes perfect sense if you look at it from a "ITSHTF" scenario.
If you have a look on one of the internet map services you will see exactly what I mean.

Yes a safe vaccine would be the best solution,but that will take a long while I think.
This virus is getting more worrying to me the last few days as it begins to take hold outside of china.

What really scares me that who will maintain the atomic reactors once the technicians and engineers got sick.
Even at full shutdown the cores and spent fuel needs constant maintenance and cooling

It's pretty much standard operating procedure for every health agency in the country that people that are not designated Public Information Officers or otherwise appointed do not speak to the press. This Isn’t new. All it takes is one buffoon that doesn't know what they're talking about to spread false information. Then you have whatever BS nonsense some rando said spreading. You have to be very careful talking to the press.

I've already seen some idiot saying to spray a peroxide solution through an inhaler and drink peroxide. Also have seen colloidal silver will cure it. This is the type of # the gets people killed.

ETA: Don't get me wrong. I don't believe the numbers either, but there's not some hidden agenda. They don't really know the numbers.

Thing about that is that they don't know if what they're saying about reinfection is true or not.

It's all full on conditionals if you look at it. Certain individuals *may* not develop ... Antibodies might not be strong ... etc.

And the way they describe viruses mutating make it sound like there are hundreds of different strains of this thing already that all look and act differently. Viruses don't mutate significantly that quickly. Sure, they can mutate relatively quickly, but it still takes some time for enough difference in strains to show up to completely negate the effectiveness of antibodies.

I'd be more concerned with the possibility of weak antibodies at this point.

I've added two teaspoons of food grade hydrogen peroxide (3%) to a gallon of water and used it as drinking water for years.

It helps inactivate viruses and oxygenates you.

I haven't had a cold or flu for a decade.

Wouldn't suggest slugging down a liter of it, but in moderation I've found it helpful for dodging the annual flu and it seems to be great for my skin.

Yeah I agree with everything you said mate,its not being taken seriously enough by a long shot-I know younger people are also at risk,its just that at this point being dead might actually be an improvement on my current circumstances...don't ask

I'm worrying about the energy sector in America right now... this virus is killing the oilfields because of lack of demand.

If this keeps going on oil wells will shutter in and people will be sent home.

It's getting hard to even get rid of Nat Gas right now, much less sell it.

This hurts America in a lot of ways economically currently and no end in sight.
