Which scheme are Trump’s people advancing by telling a direct lie?

Obama was elected to a second term. Hillary ran for POTUS in 2016. Had Susan Rice told the truth then or called out Obama’s and Hillary’s lie (as they both stated it as well) would either of those things happened? What’s more, how can you honestly still defend that video story as it seems you are doing now after all these years?

Trump was impeached.

Yeah, but he was also acquitted. Saying he was impeached is like going around and saying so and so was indicted when the trial is already over and they found them not guilty.

But perhaps Trump would not have been impeached in the first place if he had mounted a defense?

Since you are not American perhaps your ignorance should be forgiven. Perhaps...

In America you are considered INNOCENT until PROVEN guilty.
The dems job in the House was to present evidence that would convince a jury(The Senate), that beyond a reasonable doubt, POTUS Trump had committed High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

The FULL BURDEN in the United States of America is to prove a crime WAS Committed, NOT that a crime was NOT committed.
It is not complicated people, unless you are trying to intentionally obfuscate the truth.

I keep explaining this.

The US has no statute or codified law that maintains the presumption of innocence. In that regard, American presumption of innocence defers to a default of British Common Law.

The British Common Law definition clearly defines that presumption of innocence is a function of legal jurisprudence, which means it applies within a court of law, not outside.

Police and legal investigators in the US do not presume innocence. That is why they read you Miranda rights and can stop an arrest you upon suspicion of guilt. It is why they can detain and question.

The House investigation was an investigation like all others. The prosecution side must assume guilt, to properly investigate. The defense is supposed to defend. Since the defense abstained from defending, they are to blame for imbalance in the investigation/discovery phase.

The closest thing that US law has to the presumption of innocence, is the precedent of the case of Coffin v US.

You should also note that I tend not to reply with insults but I seem to receive many.

But no-one is kicking anyone, it is debate.

I do also get the occasional star or affirmative response.

Perhaps I enjoy a challenge, think for myself, and am tenacious enough to and stay at it? Those sound like honourable things to me.

I would imagine that statement comes as a direct response to Susan Rice's tongue lashing.

Don't think Rice is the right person to do that based on her past performance in the Obama Administration.

John Bolton rebuked for withholding Trump testimony in new public event www.theguardian.com...

Bolton, speaking alongside Susan Rice at a lecture series at Vanderbilt University, was taken to task by his co-speaker, who served as national security adviser under Barack Obama.

Rice criticized Bolton for refusing to testify before the House of Representatives during the impeachment hearings. It later emerged that Bolton has documented, in a forthcoming book, evidence regarding Trump and Ukraine that Democrats had sought him to provide on the record.

“I can’t imagine withholding my testimony with or without a subpoena,” Rice said at the Vanderbilt event

Funny how the same story can be accented in different ways.

I'll go for 'The Guardian's' take on it.

Star Witness Bolton said impeachment was highly partisan and called it malpractice. Or do you deny he said that? Or do you only care about news 'accented' to your preferred slant?

Does it really matter what this war mongering piece of filth Israeli Firster Bolton says?

Never in the history of this nation has someone been so openly eager to send Americans to kill and die.

Tenacious enough to say New York City is Trump's base, and that NYC is not a Democrat haven.

Gee, where to start...

How about health care? Tax paid Trump's promise to protect those with existing conditions, while at the same time arguing against it court, with tax payer dollars.

Mexico will pay for the wall? Meanwhile, Trump declared a national emergency so that he could steal the money from the military.

Or, how about the people's president, Donald Trump insisting that he has created the bestest, superist economy in the history of the world, but cut federal employees promised 2020 raise down to 1% based on an economic emergency?

John Bolton was the one who chose to make a public appearance with her, not me. It seems John Bolton was the one who needed to reassert himself after she thrashed on global stage. It's John Bolton who choose to do a "strip tease" with relevant impeachment information to promote his book, not me.

And which of those were about allowing legally obligated protection to be lax, failed to respond when capable and then lied to cover their murder again?

I swear I could become a billionaire just selling shovels...

You just keep moving those "defrauded" goal posts don't you? Now Susan Rice is a murderer too?

How many Bengahzi hearings were there? 33? With zilch, nada, no proven criming!

Talk about a waste of tax payer dollars under the guise of "justice"!

Susan Rice ripped John Bolton's arms off and then used them to beat his mustached face, for cowardly and selfishly refusing to testify during impeachment hearings in order to tease his book. After that, he had to come up with an excuse for his supreme lack of patriotism by blaming partisanship. Meanwhile, all the damning testimony and evidence came from INSIDE THE REPUBLICAN WHITE HOUSE!

I said NYC is Trump's constituency. It is also where he used to live before the Белый house. I won't describe it as a Democrat haven, because that implies that it can't change, and change is the only constant in the world.

Good form. As snarky as I can be, I do appreciate the debate.

I knew it was false , I think any impartial person would of agreed after hearing the democrats over the years making up any bs they can think of and I mean anything. It’s like the boy who cried wolf . Not sure if you’ve read it but you’d like it. Republicans suck too but I like trump better than bush , bush , or Reagan . I just haven’t seen him commit atrocities . I love him in comparison to Hillary or his opponent next time. That said I think he’s a puppet for the rchilds/
