looks like its getting worse on the ship in yokohama
This is basically a sick experiment and on a demographic that is highly likely to suffer more than most. They should have been evacuated and placed in proper quarantine immediately.

I've been thinking about the illegals who have been arriving by boat and truck to the Uk over last few months... what if one or two of them have it?
Remember reading about those dead chinese who were found in the back of that truck in Kent... I think that was November time... I mean how many are travelling around with this thing?
Any case, I think our borders are shoddy and easy targets, infected or not.

Two more Britons test positive for coronavirus on quarantined cruise ship in Japan as number of cases on board rises to 174
www.dailymail.co.uk...
Two more Britons have tested positive for coronavirus on a quarantined cruise ship in Japan as the number of cases on board jumped to 174. The two Britons were among 39 new cases confirmed today as passengers on the Diamond Princess face a second week in quarantine in Yokohama. It takes the number of British cases on board to three, after honeymooner Alan Steele was hauled off the vessel and taken to hospital on the mainland on Friday.
In recent days, testing has expanded to 492 people, mostly those showing symptoms or who have had close contact with a confirmed positive case. Of those 492 people, 174 have tested positive so far. 'Currently we have the capacity to conduct up to 300 tests per day, but we are working... so that by the last day of the incubation period, February 18, we will be able to test up to 1,000,' government spokesman Yoshihide Suga said. The ship is due to remain in quarantine until February 19, and authorities do not expect the new cases to change that timeline. However, newly confirmed patients could face a further two weeks in quarantine starting from when they tested positive.

For those that say we should be seeing large numbers now I will try to explain why this would not be evident yet.
Take for (a very rough) example UK
As of 24th of Jan, they were trying to trace 2000 travellers from Wuhan.
www.bbc.co.uk...
Lets say just 0.5% were infected.

With that many deaths, there would be a whole lot of empty houses. The economy as we know it wouldn't exist. I'm pretty sure anarchy would rule, for a time at least.
Using just the CCP figures, we would have close to 10% of the US population filing bankruptcy. Using figures I have seen (15% death rate, and 25% critical care/ICU), You would be looking at unimaginable consequences. It would not even have a label in society yet. A combination of anarchy and marshall law would be the foreseeable future.
The upside is that we basically would be starting over. ALL debt would be wiped out, and a new way of forging ahead would have to be agreed upon.
No offense intended, but I've been seeing this "marshall law" mentioned a few times now. I believe what you might be thinking of is actually MARTIAL LAW.
The virologist who led the research, Shi Zhengli, has now revealed one of the strains is almost identical to the one currently ravaging China.
She cross-referenced the genome sequence of COVID-19, as it's now officially known, with the 2004 results and found it was a 96 per cent match to a virus found in the droppings of horseshoe bats.
In recent weeks, she has been the subject of conspiracy theories that COVID-19 escaped from her lab the Institute of Virology in Wuhan city.

So they state that they can test 300 a day, then say that they have tested 492. So what did they start a day and a half ago? No evidently not. They will be able to test 1000 a day in the future, a day before the quarantine is lifted.
Literally none of this makes sense.

Singapore cases up to 50 now with 8 in ICU. Averaging 1 new ICU cases a day now. Around 15% critical care which I think I've seen mentioned elsewhere. (Forgive me if that maths is wrong it's been a long day!)

Coupled with the update that we can now prepare to see the slight extension of cases revealed as it went from roughly 14-day to 24-day?
