California City Proposes Giving Cash to Violent Gang Members Not to Commit Shootings

As leftist California descends into bankruptcy and despair, the leftist-run city governments of the state are getting more radical with their liberal schemes to solve the many problems they helped to create in the first place.

The latest mind-boggling trend in California cities plagued with crime is actually paying gang members not to commit violent crimes.

After a 3-2 vote at Thursday’s city council meeting, the local government of Fresno is set to authorize city leaders such as Mayor Lee Brand and Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer to determine whether the Advance Peace program should be implemented.

Instead of prosecuting these beasts for their crimes democrats will be paying such thugs to "supposedly" not commit shootings. This is a dumb move, out of many, by democrats/liberals. It will only incite gang members to commit more crimes and blackmail democrats into paying them more money...

California has all the answers.

Their track record with social policy is undisputable. So this will no doubt be a rock solid social program.

I have another idea. Instead of gang members commiting random gang shootings, they should have system in place to submit the name of those they want killed, and the city could just go out and conduct said shootings in a safe and human fashion.

F'in California, the dumpster of the US(Chicago and Detroit thank you).

In fairness, california politicians think that money can buy anyones position.....just like it has for them.

So they do have precedence.

There will be many more gangs forming to collect free moolah from the dumb cash cows. What kind of idiots are running California?

It is sad isn't it, but at the same time very fulfilling.

Watching stupidity fail while you sit by in your own knowledge of their stupidity is somewhat self validating.

Then again, it is sad to sit by and watch as they "think" they are the more intellectual creature.

A real conundrum. In the end though, I'm fine with california descending into the dirt in hopes that it wakes the rest of the world up to this absolute nonsense.

Those out-of-touch politicians/administrators don't realize that the "living wage" they're considering paying, is peanuts compared to what gangs generate via illegal activities.

The one SMART thing California wanted to do was leave the USA. But they turned STUPID and decided to stay, and be a pain in the azz.

So we need to get to the bottom and work on why do kids feel the need to join gangs. Fix the dysfunctional family problem and they will fix the gang problem. Crap like this makes me want to support abortions...

I'm actually concerned for california at this point.

I"m concerned that if it were to get nuked, whether by the chinese or even a nuke that originated from the US. Nobody would bat an eye and seek to de esculate the situation to the point of only trade talks.

Figure it out cali, you have just about no value to anyone at this point(defensively or otherwise). The only claim to fame was your tech hold(which has fled to the PNW and hollywood, which is wholely chinese propt up at this point).

You have fallen into a deep level of irrelevancy. In a decade, california will be in the bottom 5 states in the whole US for political influence and economically.

Jerry Dyer is a Republican and running for mayor in 2020.

Just to give some background, California is a big state with a very diverse population ( politically not racially ).

A lot of these posts so far are very strange to see, makes me think if California got nuked those people wouldn't bat an eye....

We will pay you money to not gang...

But maybe they could get gov benefits.

So trade that 6 or 7 figures a year for 5 figures plus .gov benies.

It's a win win.

At this point, I think the US .gov should pay the gang members to shoot the california politicians for money. Would be better in the end.

They not all bad... how about 500 bucks bounty on any gang member... Give homeless free guns... 56,000 homeless make a living wage and gang members go extinct.

As two fifths of the city council voted against this program it is easy to suppose that the mayor will not implement this proposed program or are we considering the mayor to also be part of the leftist run city government
