A H uff Post Report quotes Liz Cheney from an ABC This Week interview as saying, regarding the Russia Collusion investigations, "sounds an awful lot like a coup," and "It could well be treason."

Granting that this is no revelatory statement to anybody with a few active brain cells, it warms the cockles of my heart to hear the "third-ranking Republican in the House" say it. I am assuming that she's not just blowing smoke out of her butt, but is talking party line. I hope so.

First, maybe this will galvanize the Republicans to unite behind the President at least in defense of their own party against such blatant illegal political maneuverings.

This surprises me coming from Liz Cheney as we know that her daddy is no fan of the President.

The article mentions the penalty for treason. I'm not, generally, a big proponent if the death penalty, but it'd make me so happy to Strzok, Page and Comey before a firing squad. If they could invite Hillary to the party, that's be just all the better!

Please, restore my confidence in the judicial and legislative branches! I have none left

Grand irony considering her Dad is 100% guilty of treason.

.....but still good news

We can’t blame her for her father.

I don't think those fbi guys deserve the firing squad, that should be saved for the house and Senate members who were orchestrating the coup. The FBI guys should just get a few years behind bars And let free, especially if they cooperate against the treasonous reps.

"It could well be treason."

Could it really though?

Nope. And Liz Cheney knows it. She's just throwing red meat around.

I don't think treason is necessarily the appropriate charge.

Seditious conspiracy on the other hand...

Well, I think some who have been trying to make some things up to cause a disruption of our presidency and the resulting splitting of American citizens should be charged with Treason. A Terrorist attack might not have nearly as much negative impact on disrupting our society as the two FBI agents did with their purposely instigating turmoil against the standing president..

If they use those two FBI employees as an example, maybe it will help make sure this never happens again. They are not whistle blowers, neither was Comey. They all should be charged with a bare minimum of leaking classified information from an investigation...a minimum of ten years in a prison.

If these plotters in this attempted coup were working with foreign governments to make their plans happen.... wouldn’t this amount to treason?
If you tell me that the foreign governments have to be ‘enemies’ of the US.... well then, I have to ask this question.

If another country works with plotters in our country to topple our duly elected President.... are they not our enemies???

If an illegal act (spying on an american citizen based off lies to the FISA court) perpetrated the ensuing witch hunt, all in an effort to bring down a sitting president... yea treason, sedition all need to be looked at.

I love how Trump fans are now the New Snowflakes, with their hysteria, dramatics and faux outrage over the FBI investigating Trump.

Its like the fact that the FBI have investigated everyone from Martin Luther King to Nixon is forgotten.

It was an FBI agent who was Deep Throat and who brought down Nixon.

Thats the role of the FBI.

Sorry no it is not the role of the FBI to investigate American citizens for political purposes. Whether its MLK or Donald Trump.

That is completely antithetical to American/Western ideals.

If the FBI had found grounds to impeach Obama would you Trump fans have demanded they be prosecuted for treason ?

Nah, course not.

Faux outrage. Hypocrisy.Facile cant.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

Oh your one of those people who buy into the most egregious conspiracy theories. That's cool, you might be correct in those theories. But I would have to question the sanity of even engaging in these conversations if your opinion of the world is so jaded? What do you gain from such a discussion? What's the point of even discussing events if everything is a false flag? And the people who perpetuate these false flags are so powerful that they completely pulled the wool over the eyes of everyone but you and the select few that agree with you.

If you are correct; fine your smarter and more observant than the rest of us. You can leave the conversation content in this knowledge.

Your Wikipedia links back up our argument that we can’t trust our government.

We can’t trust the Brits either.

No my friend, you do not get to classify history as a conspiracy theory.

Sorry. Nice try though.

Rough world if we find out that Australia and the UK are hip deep in this plot, then. Are they now our enemies?

I dont expect you to trust me.

I expect you to get off your ass, go and investigate what I linked and find out the truth for yourself.
