The Population Rate of ATS..

Is it just me or does it seem like ATS is kinda a ghost town lately???


The new forum posts don’t update very fast..

There are multiple home page articles that only have a couple pages of replies..


This was the premiere conspiracy forum on the net if ... if you googled conspiracy forum.. ATS was the first result.. it no longer is..



It isn’t even on the first page..


I was curious if there is anyway to check the log In rate over time??

Or if anyone else has noticed the same??



What is the cause???

Disagree here after watching it going up then down over the years... far more lurkers maybe at the moment.
I reckon this might be due to the hostility of the net nowadays days and very little privacy compared with the past, lots of people do not want to post their views for fear of ridicule etc.

The update issue, think it is something to do with the server updating (might be wrong) but every hour on the 30min mark the site lags due to this or similar. Only lasts for a minute or two, has always been like this.

Just my thoughts and I might be wrong with reasons

PS: if you check the stats, still growing at around 1000 strong per month with new accounts alone which aint bad for a conspiracy site...

If so that would answer my question.. definitely if I could compare the last ten years.. the stats themselves are perfect

Because like you Joshua.. I mean Johnny, a lot of members that once roamed these boards have all either changed their identities and returned to lurking, or have left this place for good in the face of their own chagrin.

We've already told you once before.

A look at the stats can prove interesting:

Total member accounts: 309,685
members who have posted: 169,023
percentage who have posted: 55 %
members with 20 or fewer posts: 106,765
members with 20 to 500 posts: 33,590
members with 500 to 1,000 posts: 2,995
members more than 1,000 posts: 3,539

Looks like a lot of members, but 45% have NEVER posted at all. Of those who have 106,765 have fewer than 20 posts. You can't cal them "active" in any sense of the word. 10% have 20-500 posts, which leaves those who have posted more than 500 times about 2%. These are the active members: 2%.

That puts things in perspective. The churn at ATS is astronomical. About 6500 people provide the large majority of content. That's how large the ATS "community" really is.

What frustrates me here is what happens between 27 and 32 minutes after the hour.

OK. I've been here half a dozen times already today. What would that tell you? My only point is that ATS is a lot smaller than it appears.
