I think she will be 'alive' until January 2020 - at which point Trump will enter his final year of his first term. That way it can be safely argued that he should not appoint anyone until after the Nov 2020 election.
If he wins, she might mysteriously come back to life.

That's why the Democrats keep her on the court.

Okay, you are jumping the gun here. Recent news articles within the last week say she is returning to the bench. I see her cancer is completely gone within the last week, at least. Although you are right, many think her health is failing.

That is what I read too.
She'll be there until she passes and even then I suspect it will be hidden for as long as possible.
it seems the Dems have managed to turn Roberts, so they have some sway wtill, but another conservative on the bench is an absolute disaster for them and will be avoided at all costs.

Something doesn't add up.

As this article says, Justice Ginsburg is now cancer-free and in good health. But she's taking this week off too.

Again, that worked only because the GOP had the numbers in the Senate. They still have the numbers there and the House has zero bearing on confirmation of justices, so... if she dies in October of 2020, Trump will replace her and his nomination will be confirmed.

that week or two more--> is for the Justice's Double to get more Familiar with the mannerisms of the Host's persona

eta

its' my guess that the pneumonia was begun weeks earlier from the lungs got doused with spittal fluids...the IV's administered did the damage of causing a stroke.... so the Justice was in a terminal state to begin with...

the stand-in/look alike is to buy-time as an earlier poster in the thread laid out...so Trump gets omitted from the loop in replacing her before 2020

I bet the worst the stand-in might do is herself become persistently ill..and not do her routine Bench Presence--- which night be a 'good thing'

This is why Congressional Democrats are (reportedly) plotting to have Trump and Pence removed, so the next constitutional successor, NANCY PELOSI, will be President.

My dad had pneumonia at the end. I would take it as a sign her immune system is shot.

RBG is trash. May she be thrown away and replaced as soon as possible.

What was that Bill Clinton said about giving them the litmus test before appointing?

I think it is safe to say that the vast majority of women do not want a Bill Clinton litmus test...

How can you say that...lol

I hope you don't consider yourself a conservative, I wouldn't want to be associated in the same bucket as you.,

Well at least your honest about the reason for them doing it (as opposed to the reason they gave). They did it because they could, not because 'the american people deserved to have a say in it'. I assume the dishonesty doesn't bother you when it suits you?
