News of his arrest was first reported by TMZ, which had initially reported that his estranged wife was involved. In a statement to BuzzFeed News, though, attorneys for Lisa Storie-Avenatti refuted that report.

"My client and I have reviewed the TMZ article alleging that my client, Lisa Storie-Avenatti, has been injured and that Michael Avenatti has been arrested as a result of some incident that occurred between them. This article is not true as it pertains to my client," the statement said. "Ms. Storie-Avenatti was not subject to any such incident on Tuesday night. Further, she was not at Mr. Avenatti’s apartment on the date that this alleged incident occurred. My client states that there has never been domestic violence in her relationship with Michael and that she has never known Michael to be physically violent toward anyone."

A few days/weeks later it is found out there will be no charges and he was in the right.

Gains some back some credence and calls out everyone who denied him his presumption of innocence.

Then a book deal and he can climb out of his financial hole!

Oh he has that presumption. However in this case there does seem to be physical evidence and an arrest and a statement from Avenatti that "she" hit him first. We'll see though. If it turns out to be Sweatnick it's a whole different ballgame.

What I think a lot of folks on the Right aren't aware of is how Avenatti went from being amusing when he was owning Cohen to "Oh wait, let's hold this guy at arm's length" when details about him not paying his bills came out to "Yech, gtfo outta here" when he started talking about running from president.

Unless it turns out that some Republican operative paid this woman to lie, there's nothing about this that will make Avenatti more popular.

Most liberals were madly in love with Avenatti, until his fake witnesses against Kavanaugh began to fall apart and get exposed as frauds, then they started to distance themselves a bit from him. I'm sure they'll kick him to the curb over this if he can't find a way to weasel out of it.

If he becomes too much of a liability for democrats, his life expectancy will shorten drastically.

I agree with you and understand. The media connected dems started to flee from the dude right around the time his foolishness turned an otherwise potential Kavanaugh Democrat "win" into a three ring circus the left was doomed to lose brilliantly in both the Senate and the court of public opinion.

When Ante doesn't talk about something, it generally means he disavows it or at least is highly skeptical of it, at least where stories potentially damaging to his politics are concerned. It's why he never jumped on the "Trump colluded with Russia" story. I get what he's saying and no, I never noticed him wasting his air on Avanatti's Kavanaugh claims... if he'd believed in Avanatti, he'd have been spiking the ball during player introductions.
