j/k -- what I really mean, is that based on your post history, I find it very difficult you would talk to your friends about giving people on the right the time of day.

Believe it or not, there’s some conservative posters on ATS that I respect and can understand where they’re coming from even if I don’t agree with them.

That being said, there is no compromise with what the Republican Party has morphed in to. They are pretty much diametrically opposed to what I believe our leaders should be at this point.

Well, I respect that you want a socialist country and the Reps aren't headed that way.

But what I saw was a party punt all its questioning time so as not to appear to be bullying the female who has maintained for a long time that she was afraid and didn't want a public testimony. These are the same people who had offered a method of private testimony which we later found out had been apparently hidden from her by the other party and her own lawyer (recommended to her by that same party that neglected to tell her about the offer to be deposed privately).

Then I saw the party that had lied about having the letter for months until it "mysteriously" got leaked proceed to question the man involved, but instead of asking him about the incident itself, they preferred to ask him about drinking as if drinking is a crime.

It made them look like the Republican stock villains from every '80s movie who are busy trying to tell people they can't dance or drink or attend parties.

Just because the long arm of the law can't cross the railroad tracks from 1984 to 2018 doesn't mean the long arm of Reverend Moore can't.

My point is, why put identity onto what you perceive in one person?

Because that self entitled enraged white man feels owed his seat on the Supreme Court to project his identity politics onto the American People for the rest of his life.

It is difficult being a genuine moderate independent. Believe me I know how hard it is. So many pretend to be one of us, people assume we are either Left or Right because they have been brainwashed by the party they allow to control them.

It takes strength of character to not allow ourselves to be suckered in to one side or the other when we happen to agree with one side over the other. It's like being on a teeter totter.

The easy road is to just pick a side and even though we don't agree with their full platform lower our standards to just go along to get along.

Is it possible you never were a moderate or independent? That's OK too.

Republicans don't agree with me, Democrats don't agree with me and both sides have often accused me of being on the other side.

I've watched Democrats turn from conservatives into progressives during my life and visa versa. Eventually they will flip again slowly over time.

We can chose to vote based on our own beliefs or just give in and vote based on a D or R before a name like good little lambs and get a pat on the head, or stand for our own principals and be glad we have the critical thinking skills to recognize the Democrat/Republican confidence game for what it is. Keep us hating each other so they can do as they wish while our attention is diverted.

What difference does it make if it's a self entitled white man or woman, or black for that matter, or any other ethnicity.

Not any indictments of the Democrats that sat on this and leaked this womans identity for purely political purposes?

No instead it s more fun to make fun of a guy for getting emotional for being presumed guilty before innocent about things like being a serial gang rapist.

Meanwhile if anyone would make fun of one of the alleged victims speaking with anger or emotiuon, you would be the first person to call out victim shaming.

You assert he is lying with no proof whatsoever.

I hope that you are never accused of such heinous things with no proof all over national tv. I am sure you would be stoic and show no emotion though

Could you possibly post some of your posts from the past where you were ever trying to compromise with the "folks across the aisle"? All I've ever seen you do is be a soldier for the Lefitsts.

I'm just curious. What were you "wrong" about? Is this only about your offline life? Do you live a double life where your an extremist Marxist online but more of moderate Marxist in your offline personality? Just asking for a friend.

It’s all part of the plan to divide and conquer, R vs D, men vs women, Black vs white, and everything in between gets pigeon holed into some other group.

The best thing anyone can do is walk away from the daily sh#t show and never look back. Just interact with in a face to face basis and try get on with your own lives.

Give me some examples besides him getting upset defending himself. I've been waiting for an example of how he's entitled.

Well, you can start with Kavanaugh testifying that he DEMANDED a hearing THE DAY AFTER the sexual misconduct allegations surfaced, al least 16 times.

Then there was the way he addressed Amy Klobucher and Sheldon Whitehouse, believing that he was entitled to turn the questions they asked of him, back on them.

Of course his whole temperament was like that of an entitled, outraged and petulant child, getting snarky with authority figures who dared to think they had the right to challenge his honesty, candor and integrity. He just kept reminding us "Do you know who an I am?"

If you were accused of sexual assault and your entire reputation ruined based on an accusation with no evidence or witnesses you wouldn't be irritated and upset at the conduct of senators and the media who already made a verdict of guilty? The democrats didn't even ask questions just basically "ask for an fbi investigation, do it, do it, come on do it" Also, why is it a problem he wanted to defend himself a day after the allegation and not wait a week?

I didn't see entitlement I saw a man upset at being smeared and found guilty. You see a white privileged male who didn't earn a spot to be a nominee because... he's white.

I'm all for the fbi investigation because it won't draw a conclusion and none of the witness will back away from their initial statements under threat of committing a felony. They're bound to find something the 7th background check right?

You're the one painting the picture that white men can't be emotional defending themselves. Sorry I challenged your views and wasted your time.

I can't even imagine the way Trumpite knuckleheads would respond if a woman had behaved the way Kavanaugh did before the Judicial Committee.

BTW, after Kavanaugh's Academy Award deserving performance of a scorned entitled white male elitist victim, the Jesuits and the American Bar Association pulled their endorsements of him.
