At least you're honest admitting this thread is click bait with an unreliable source.

Ummm...I finally figured out what this OP is all about...

It's a mirror image of that old childhood whine...

"I know I am...but what are you"...

Remember the mirror...

God loves ya man...sniff...

6 billion, damn.

You would think that they could afford to pay their slaves I mean workers better.

so could every other mega billion dollar company

thats not what this was ever about

Cool story but my issue is with Nike and their slave labor.

Kapernick is a has been loser and can't see that Nike is using him.

yeah im sure you were all over it in the previous threads.

Yeah I'm sure you are wrong.

Now if they would only go to places like Chicago and protest the black on black violence there. I'm sure they would not want to get too close to us little people... lol

No need to get upset.

Just because you adore the source (Huffpoo) does not mean it's true.

Believe what you want. Don't matter to me.

Don't nike sales surge the start of football season regardless?

Trying to associate that with Nike's virtue signalling is assuming a bit much don't you think?

I'll will still continue to buy products that weren't touched by starving children... Therefore my ongoing lifetime protest of Nike will continue regardless of the BS happening here.

So, you're all for child/slave !abor in sweatshops at pennies a day ?
Asking for a friend.

The largest producers of Nike shoes are the factories located inChina, Vietnam and Indonesia, although dozens of other countries also contain Nike factories; these countries include Malaysia, Pakistan, India and Thailand.Jun 28, 2018

why are you trying to make this about slave labor?

the boycotts or calls to boycott was never about their labor practices.

For me it was. Back in 2011 they did their little red laces to fund AIDS research. All proceeds from the sale of $3.99 laces went to this fund. You wanna talk about patronizing bullsnip? This company makes billions a year but chose to use sales of some crappy laces to promote their virtue signal? I still have the pair I was given from Nike. Maybe I should burn those to protest their horrible business practices. Screw Nike and Screw Weiden Kennedy.

How else are they going to make 6b ? Can't do that employing well paid workers.

Besides, how can people burn their nikes, if they don't buy them first.

Apple
Dow
Exxon
Union Pacific
Yeah, you can make loads of money and pay your employees well...

And people were burning the shoes they already owned.
You couldn't have thought they bought shoes just to burn.

Add to that list Patagonia.

The stock market price of Nike fell due to sell-off and backlash against the ad campaign by the conservative right stockholders who sold their stock, causing the price to drop for a short time. Meanwhile, the stock was still listed as a “buy” recommendation by most brokerage houses and mutual funds, so not surprisingly people who aren’t overly concerned about politics and/or democrats scooped up the stock at the lower price...thereby pushing the stock price back up.

Now, looking forward, the question is if there are enough conservatives and republicans who follow through with their unhappiness with Nike that they stop buying the apparel and shoes that profits fall and have to be adjusted as a result. If that happens, the stock price will fall again, but due to actual profit concerns. Whether that happens will take months to ascertain. Nike sells their products worldwide, so the power of the pocketbook of mad republicans is limited, yet profit margins can definitely be affected with a boycott of even a few percentage points. Nike is gambling that their social warrior stance brings in more customers than it drives away...only time will tell.

Nike, regardless of their position on things, is still THE number one retailer of its domain. It's gonna make money.

"But the research by Thomson Reuters, conducted in collaboration with StyleSage Co, showed herethe world's largest sportswear maker sold out far more items between Sept. 3 and Sept. 13 than in the 10-day period before the ad came out.

Nike discounted fewer products in the 10-day period after the ad and saw its Colin Kaepernick women’s jersey sell out on Sept. 17, the research also showed."

Looking deeper, you'll see that standard practices were avoided and instead, went for a gamble.

So, they pretty much went full price and then some and it paid off. This contributed greatly to sales and thus, as a result have posted some all times high.

They should thank POTUS as a matter of fact 😌

Several things were shown in this ordeal, that the POTUS and his word have the ability to stagger even the largest giants, as indicated in their sales, stocks and portfolio all took a hit, a noticable one.

Of course, being the biggest affords it advantages, so it was able to rebound and pull a nice one with the AD, convincing its own base and supporters into buying their jacked up priced gear and it worked, capitalism for you, always a double edge sword.

For all the boycotts and opposition, it was equaled by those wanting to support nike out of spite of the POTUS and so doing so with their wallets.

Lol, ah yes the beauty of wallets and demcracy in the AM.

that is another problem all together

In One Tweet, Kylie Jenner Wiped Out $1.3 Billion of Snap’s Market Value

seems like people put too much value on tweets in general no matter who theyre from.

hopefully we can all agree on that

Why are tweets a problem??

Should tweets be more of a problem than dishonest media such as the Huffingpaint Post? Should we ban tweets such as Twitter and others have done to Alex Jones? I recall you celebrating Alex Jones being banned, so just who decided which words and beliefs are dangerous and should be banned?

If you can come up with any? Then you are a facist and don't belive in the freedom of speech! As much as I disagree with almost every damn thing that is typed out of your mind, I would never demand you not being allowed to speak your mind! Unless of course you were advocating harm against another human being or subverting our Republic!

And apparently Trump supporters will "boycott" just about anything, even while they are sitting there using the product, just because that thing or service does something that goes against Trump in any way, shape or form.

You guys didn't have an issue with Nike until you were told to.

Ummmmm, I boycotted Nike since I spent way too much on a pair of their overpriced, slave labored, crappy tennis shoes when I was a brain washed Democrat!

Now whut?

naw… lousy product was the driving force behind me quitting nike, sweat shops, lousy ad campaign and PC virtue signaling just drove the point home.

Trumps opinion had zero to do with my decision.
