Tyron Woodley finished Darren Till with a d’arce choke at UFC 228

Haven't seen the fight yet but soon as I got off its one of the first things I looked up aside from some lite lulzing.

Tyron Woodley has yet another successful title defense. After an uneventful first round, the champion was able to knock down Darren Till with a right hand and later on finish the fight with a tight D’Arce choke. On Twitter, professional fighters praised the reigning welterweight king.

Yeah it was odd.

Till wasn't aggressive enough. Woodley looked strong but pretty tense. I would have liked to see if Wodley would tire out by like the 3rd round. Other than that it was all Woodley. Till didn't do much of anything. I would have been very disappointed if I had paid for that fight.

no it is not his signature. they are not the most uncommon submission but you dont see them often.
Tony Ferguson has finished a couple dudes with a darce.

there are some high level bjj guys that are nasty at them.
Boogey Martinez is probably the one doing the most damage with them right now.

his darce and his japanese necktie are the shizz.

Zabit is most impressive.

Tyron dominated. He looked great all around. His 4 title defenses are also the most among active UFC champs.

Good chance of an eventual rematch. Till took some serious elbows on the ground and showed a solid chin. Plenty of heart too. After getting beat down it was tap or get his head taken off. He will be back soon as a better fighter with some lessons you can only learn by losing.

I agree about Zabit. Very impressive and he seems to have gobs of potential. Hope he stays healthy.

well technically Mouse lost his title so he is just a challenger with a record right now. Woodley right now has the most title defenses for any champ. DC is at 2 after getting KOed by Jones. don't think TWood will ever get to the point of MM though
