Horny Dolphin Alert !

For lack of a good, non-political news story, I have unfortunately delved into something I should have left well alone.

My apologies.....

A sexually frustrated dolphin has closed down a beach in western France. The 3-meter-long (10 feet) bottlenose dolphin, nicknamed Zafar by locals, started off as a friendly attraction in the Bay of Brest, according to The Telegraph. The bay had become the dolphin's hangout of choice for the last couple of months, and he would often amuse people on boats by playing around them and would sometimes even let swimmers hold on to his fin and swim with him. The dolphin has developed a habit of rubbing up against both people and boats, a sign that he may be in search of, well, sex. He also lifted one woman into the air with his nose, and, in another case, refused to let a swimmer go back to shore, according to the BBC. (That swimmer had to be rescued.)

Oh yea, dolphins are FREAKS!

I watched a documentary where a gang of adolescent males surrounded a female and held her captive. They took turns mating with her, pretty nonstop, for a few weeks. She was exhausted. At first she would try to escape but after a while she just gave up and she looked terrible.

It was actually one of the most heartbreaking things I've seen. I couldn't finish that documentary.

This made me laugh but also feel sorry since the dolphin obviously has not got a pod and so is lonely, he is obviously bonding too much with human's.

Also people are idiot's these are wild animal's and they most certainly should not interfere with them even though they themselves often seek out people, yes they like human's can show empathy but it is very much as in the case of human's an individual choice on the part of the individual dolphin, I also thoroughly believe they are a sentient species but with a quite alien mind to a human mind.

Dolphins are actually highly evolved, basely negative beings... those streamlined bullies of the deep hide their sadism behind grotesque permanent smiles.

I grew up with the false narrative pushed by the dark powers in media, such as Flipper. I totally fell for the "smart, aquatic friend of man" , but then it all went weird ... gossip, passive aggressive slights, overstaying visits despite overt social cues... culminating in gang (or pod) stalking... they used squeegees and wading pools, taking turns to harass, threaten and humiliate on my daily commutes.

I still hear the eee-eeing.

There are many story's of Dolphin's saving people, often from shark attack's but so few of the negative story's are ever aired.
Still they are not the only species to save people on occasion, I remember a story about a guy whose boat capsized and sank, he was out in the pacific far from anywhere and thought he was a dead man but refused to die so swam until he was exhausted, just when he was about to give up something came up under him - a turtle and he held onto it's shell, it swam near the surface with him on it's back for more than a day and when it finally dived he could see an island in the distance, maybe the turtle did not even know he was there but altruism does come to mind, maybe the island was it's destination so it could feed on the reef there or mate on the beaches but either way this guy survived as he was then able to swim to shore.

Yes... I actually love those aliens of the sea. I was in a mood.

It IS weird when "wild" animals act to preserve human life... especially as most representatives of our species don't act in kind.

I'd never heard that particular story of the sea turtle... and yes, ascribing human motivations to "animals" is always suspect, but I'm open to them having awareness and pity, as well as being conduits for intelligence from elsewhere, as it is a strange dreamworld we inhabit!
