the prosecutor decides on what penalties are sought after guilt or innocence is determined. I thought it strange tho because I've always thought there were mandatory minimums when it comes to pedophilia. Perhaps a plea deal was made via snitching ect..

Uh Isaac Asimov wrote some of the best sci-fi stories every and is considered the father of robatics .

Looking in to this case, all Mueller did was accept a plea deal that would drop two of the charges against Asimov. It was Sonoma County DA's office that thought there was so little evidence against Asimov they would wipe their hands of the case and bump it up to the Feds. It was the grand jury that then decided there was only enough evidence for four counts of possession of child pornography. And it was the judge, based off of psychiatric reports on Asimov, that gave the light sentence.

Based on the facts we know, it seems like there was a weak case against Asimov. Which is probably why Mueller offered the plea deal. He wasn't sure if he'd get a guilty verdict on any of the counts. This way he at least pins Asimov with two.

What you stated is a belief. I asked how you KNOW. Meanwhile, you again misrepresented Milo despite being corrected earlier. It's pretty easy to see you're arguing in bad faith. Drop the defenses and strive for knowledge. Maybe your belief is right, and it isn't rampant, but you need some evidence to back it up.

Well yeah, let the guy walk, he needs to do something for exercise and to stay in shape.
