I have no problem with Bezos being the richest man in the world. He is not hoarding his riches! He is constantly re-investing his money and that is why it is growing. Plus, his employees are making a decent wage that they agreed to when they were hired.

Bezos, mother was 17 years old when he was born. She ended up marrying a Cuban immigrant who adopted him as his own son. When Bezos was 17 he worked as a line cook at McDonald's! He studied hard and went to college to better himself.

I am pretty sure he knows what it is like to struggle. He built of his funds and does donate a lot to various charities and business ventures now. Just this past January, he donated 33 million to assist immigrant children be able to go to college and become educated like his dad and he did and have an opportunity to live their dream.

All and all, he did earn his wealth and success. It is up to him to choose how to spend it. I think that is the fairest thing of all. Though, he did get over 50,000 tweet responses for asking what his next philanthropic project should be. Decision to be made the end of this summer. So he does appear to be listening.

I wonder if Congress will ever do their duty and break up amazon after they run the majority of their competition out of business.

As soon as Amazon becomes a monopoly, they should.

Did Walmart and Target stop selling stuff when I wasn't looking?

Eventually...maybe....but we already discussed that.

And for congress doing it"s job.....it"s a democratic process so we kind have that in our own hands.

Peace

Or maybe not, so it renders the complaint moot as there is no trust for Congress to break up.

Once Bill Gates got out of the fast lane, and began resting on his laurels, he and his wife began doing many, many wonderful things for the world, and are extraordinary philanthropists.

Bezos is still in the frenzy of his success. Eventually he will see he can't spend all that money, and will put it to use benefiting those who need it.

I bet. Age does sometimes bring wisdom. (But not always, as we are unfortunately aware.)

Exactly.

He and his wife began the Illuminati depopulation agenda via vaccines.

I like to see and touch the products that I want before I buy them, things are not always as good as they look in pictures, so I need to see for myself.

I don't advocate a country that can tell you what to do w yiur money depending on if they like yiur politics or not

What kind of damn world do you want to live in

Come on! Somebody has to be the richest. I do have a bone to pick with him, though, that he won't ship something $24.99 for free, since he'll have a hundred trillion pennies by 2025, if this is true.

Something I've noticed, though, you guys that are pissing blood over Amazon. Most everything I've bought from Amazon is available nowhere, locally. You can maybe order from Walmart online, find some of the same things, but there's a lot, a lot, that is in no local store. Somebody fulfilling needs brick and mortars don't isn't doing evil, and somebody that has a very good business model, that results in mountains of money, we all know none of you would go that route, right? Furthermore, Amazon provides vast market access for many small businesses and entrepreneurs, like eBay, providing market access for millions of people they wouldn't, otherwise, have. There's more "Mom and Pop" going on at Amazon than on Main Street.

Things change. Brick and mortar is getting old, in a number of business models. You lament Mom and Pop, yeah, yeah, yeah. Bet you email and pay bills online, don't care squat about your neighbors that work at the Post Office. Bet you even use a digital camera, screwed over all your local film developers, this before you were done screwing over your local video rental stores, newspapers and payphones, too! Admit it. You're evil, just children of Bezoszebub.

Don't mean to be totally disagreeable, throw water all over Trotsky, would entirely agree the problem is people, and agree Bezos is a people.

Wow!

Nine pages in on “Jeff Bezos, Future Trillionaire”, and no one has yet made a very “interesting” connection.

Interesting, especially given the “typical” attitude(s) expressed on these boards by many of the posters I see in this thread.

The connection is this:

In addition to Amazon, Bezos also owns the private company Nash Holdings,

Which, in turn, publishes

The Washington Post.

Which, as I’m sure many of you are aware,

Is one of the current Administration’s FAVORITE media outlets! NOT!

A billionaire with some real estate and the “home-court, 4D chess” advantage, versus a Billionaire with Amazon-level name recognition, Rocketships!, AND a newspaper?

Let the truly Epic GAMES begin!

(Because, let’s be honest here, we really don’t care what the outcome is anymore, even if it kills us, as long as we get our bread and circuses)

ETA: notsure1 beat me to it! Touché!
