It’s not just Bernie: Socialism is back, and right-wingers have good reason to worry

Why are there suddenly millions of socialists in America?

Yet the liberal cities are by far the largest producers in the United States.

Not sure what that has to do with anything.

You are not sure what that has to do with anything?

Dear lord.

I think there is a difference between Liberals and Progressives. Not all of my positions are conservative and I do have common ground with some liberals, but Progressives need to sod off.

I should have phrased it better. You're point is stupid, and has nothing to do with socialism, nor the topic.

So these socialists are responsible for the vast majority of the gdp.

It seems like the conservative regions need to shut and and learn to produce.

Tell me liberals aren't in full attack mode against the US president? I believe liberals that label needs to go and be replaced with socialist because that is what it is just take a good look at Cali for example

And conservatives weren't in full attack mode for all 8 years that Obama was President?

Also, are you sure that you understand what communism, socialism, or even capitalism actually are?

Or hysterical propaganda against liberals isn't true...

As an independent libertarian leaning person myself it's a hard truth to swallow.

I'm pretty sure this is about socialists, not liberals

So do the rightists, they just hide it with "constitutionalism" "patriotism" "Libertarianism

Yes, we worship it so much we want to see it shrunk down to nearly nothing on the domestic level... Behold, our massive God who we supplicate ourselve to in hope he goeth on a crash diet.

Like who 20 year olds?

The college thing is over blown.

6 years ago Ron Paul was rocking campuses. The conservatives chose to ignore his ideas.

What is the difference?

Liberalism is a political mind set that progress needs to happen for change to actually happen.
Conservatism is the mindset that if it's not broken then don't fix it.
Well guess what, crony capitalism which is the most accepted economic value in America has sort of run a muck, and conservatives don't seem to want to change it. So guess what happens.

It's the same thing over and over throughout history, a libertarian mob takes down the king, a few years of prosperity under the 'new rules' and then the next few younger generations come along and demand change from the broken aspects.
Political and economic history is like a phoenix, it gets burned down and comes back stronger and wiser.

The only socialists are the self-described kind. That's true of countries as well.

It's a pretty big difference. Liberalism is actually the mindset of individual freedom. Progressivism is far from that.

In a way yes. But generally when people have a liberal mindset they have common goals. And those common goals can be anything really, the sky is the limit. Hence why pretty much all philosophers and great thinkers are liberal, and usually encompasses the entire population, not just a select few or endorse tribal politics.

The common goal of liberalism is liberty for the individual, or at least it used to be, until the word was co-opted and destroyed in the United States.

I mean, small government or big government is still government, those that worship dead people who decided they would be the ones to dictate what is a "human right", as if you leave the so-called US you no longer have those "human rights" and are subjugated to the next authoritarian regime

talk about being domesticated, people believe that they only have "rights" because some dead people wrote down "permissions" and yet people worship this constitution, small or big government

same with those that worship stolen land that they had no choice in being born into

Some people believe that, sure, but then again some people dismiss them for the same reasons. Truth is, behind those "permissions" were countless convincing and powerful arguments.
