New member long time lurker

Hello world ive been browsing here for years, heavy mechanic by trade, interested in computers, technology, geodes and science, have a interest in flying and originally on here for ufo information, im from Robin hood city of Nottingham in sunny England, looking forward to some good conversations now im registered.

I don't get it. This is not a criticism, but I just don't get it. I've never responded to one of these "long time lurker" posts, so this is my first. If you don't sign in you don't see member avatars. You are greeted with constant ads interspersing the posts. Obviously, you can't participate as there is no 'anonymous' like there is in some forums. It's a completely blah site. I find lurking like that here a nightmare and if I had to put up with it, I wouldn't come here. No big deal and I'm not trying to start an argument. It's just that I don't get it.

i enjoy reading what other people post, i dont get the adverts anymore for a long time but it was frustrating at one point, i signed up to contribute and share my ideas, i used to drink alot and get high, i would then read everything that interested me from top to bottom. now cut down on the drink, and looking to learn new things and socialise a bit more.
also thanks for all the greetings from everyone. over time ill upload pictures what i have taken of beutiful places and my geodes and other collections, trying to get my life back together
