GOP Issues Charge and Response Rebuattal To Dem Memo

The GOP has issued a Charge and Response to The Democratic Memo
The response is 5 pages and has very relevant and
factual points that should be considered.

The things that jump out first are the fact
that The Dossier was in fact the vehicle
for the FISA warrant, along with the same
information from Steele given to Isikoff
for the Yahoo news article.

The first main points of argument are as follows

DOJ and FBI’s reliance on the DNC and Clinton
campaign funded dossier in court filings, not
the overall investigation, is the focus of the GOP memo

Moreover, the Steele dossier was the FBI’s only
source for the allegations in the initial application that
Page met with particular Russians in July 2016.

As noted in the GOP memo on FISA abuse, Steele was
suspended and then terminated for unauthorized disclosures
to the media in October 2016. However, four times DOJ repeated
to the FISA Court (FISC) an incorrect assessment that Steele
had not been a source for an earlier, September 2016 Yahoo News
article by Michael Isikoff. In May 2017, before the final renewa
application, Steele admitted in a publicly available U.K. court
filing to personally briefing numerous U.S. media outlets,
including Yahoo News in September 2016.

Moreover, Isikoff has publicly confirmed that Steele
was a source for the Isikoff article used in the Page FISA
application.

I also wonder if he is one of those who received the
Letter from Nunes about the Dossier timeline.

I'll bet he did.....

Just thinking about that inside informant they
have that is singing. What a lovely sound that
must be.

Another very important point here is that
Steele was dismissed by the FBI for being
unreliable, and having leaked to the media.

His character is sullied, but the Demo
memo does not address this, nor refute it.

Steele was used like a cheap sheet.

At this point I think the underlying FISA application needs to be released, along with a transcript of McCabe's classified testimony. Neither one of these memos proves anything.

I think these memo's together with other collaborating information
such as the Strzok texts, all of the resignations in the FBI and DOJ,
together with the congressional hearings, and the Grassley memo
constitute a vast amount of evidence to suuport the Nunes Memo.

There is also a timeline of events now, this fits as well.

But yes, it would be great to get to see the FISA application.

McCabe also being under a seperate DOJ investigation does
add another layer of validity.

So was this a rebuttal or just the majorities attempts to give the Grassly/Ghram criminal referral of Steele more weight after it was laughed off?

I'm afraid you'll find truth isn't interesting to those folks. They need something to believe in to survive this Trump presidency, and "Trump is a Russian agent" is their religion now. That's not gonna change.

I am wondering if whomever wrote that dossier was colluding with the Russians. Look how much turmoil that dossier caused for our government, that is exactly what the Kremlin would want. Think about that, are we actually looking in the wrong direction for collusion? This dossier could be fabricated by Russian influence to destabalize this country. Remember, Putin hated Hillary but he still does not like the leadership of this country.

The Dems may just be unknowing suckers.

That day came long ago. Almost everyone I know is a moderate Democrat, independent, or apolitical. They were sick of her whining and pity tour a year ago. They're sick of the Trump-Russia collusion myth too. The only place it plays well is in hard-left circles. It's gonna cost them in the midterms.

You mean more GOP outsourced accusations? The rebuttal is more or less the Grassly/Ghram criminal referral says this or that with no information on where to find it in said referral. Also notice the scary underlined red text. Looks like something a middle schooler wrote because they didnt do the assignment.
