The Shed 18

Hello and happy Valentine's day all!

Next morning my alarm clock will wake me up at 4:40 AM. Men's ice hockey starts in the winter olympics. Finland will be playing against Germany at 5:10 AM. So i will have half an hour to drink coffee before the game.

Now just eating and preparing to go to bed and try to sleep (almost 10 PM now) i made a simple salad, it is iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and carrot. I have also some garlic butter bread. Then water to drink and a bit of banana yoghurt.

Today I am finally having the honor of wearing a portable heart monitor for 24 hours to give the cardio a better idea of what is going on with my troubled heart. I'm also in a lot of pain thanks to my lower back and sinuses. With watery eyes, I'm typing blind most of the time and having to redo every word.

My favourite band used to thank the audience at the end of their shows sometimes with the following sentence.

"Thank you, for being yourselves."

I have done my best to adhere to their sentence, in life and in the audience.

I often say that to people myself. I thank them for being themselves. We are all unique individuals with something to offer, a light that shines out into the world and affects others, simply by being ourselves. I find that too often people don't recognize their true worth or feel that they have nothing to offer, but they do. They truly do!

Sometimes being ourselves can cause a bit of a clash with others , considering opposing views and such... but in the end game all we have is being true to oneself.

I know we have different beliefs on different topics Light, but that does not negate the respect I have for your honesty and wit. You are the type of person I would hire for my company ( if I had one 😏)..and most likely in management. You are a bright man, and it’s a shame someone is not putting your talents to use.

If I was to work at your company I would treat the people like people and that, in this corporate world, just will not do! No, instead we should treat everyone like mindless robots, pay them low and profit high from their toil. And fire them at will, preferably from a cannon, depending on my mood.

I would maximise profits, increase customers, reduce employees and go home every night knowing I had made your company a financial gain every day.

How did we get here...?

As for differing beliefs, I embrace those. Only by seeing difference and the importance thereof can we accept each other. Screw all the things that unite us. I want your language, your culture, your music, your food and your thoughts. All of which are (hopefully) different to mine. With 1 exception...

If anyone puts sprinkled cinnamon on my cappuccino trying to be new and fancy, I will demand a fresh cappuccino with cocoa powder like it should be. Cappiche?

If I try to give you directions they would probably come out confusing as hell. I will leave one of our other members who I know can help or ask Fin what thread he found the info in where he just learned to upload pics. Probably the freshman forum.

If you find a pic on the net, it has an address. http :// blabla.com/picture3974.jpg

Do this to save yourself the upload trouble...
[ a t s ] http ://blabla.com/picture3974.jpg [ / a t s ] will link the picture inline as if if was a picture you had in your ats uploads. Remove all spaces, hit preview to check before posting and you should be good. Then hit reply and your picture will appear inline. Big photos might be a problem but regular size will appear as normal.

Hope it helps and don't tell everyone....
