You didn't link your source (it's TownHall) but I've just watched the interview via the ABC News link and both of the significant points of your OP are false.

Clinton doesn't admit to having any knowledge of the dossier or even that Christopher Steele had been contracted by Fusion GPS. In fact, she doesn't admit to knowing that Fusion GPS had been contracted if you want to get technical. She specifically states that Fusion GPS approached Marc Elias and he approved them continuing opposition research.

Also, she of course never said, "collusion is not illegal!" She said that opposition research isn't illegal. You're characterizing the Steele Dossier as "collusion" as are most Trump supporters.

Though of course, you also argued that direct coordination between the Trump campaign and officials of the Russian government, operating with the approval and at the behest of the Kremlin, was not collusion when it came to Don Jr thinking he was getting dirt as part of "Russia and the Russian government's effort to assist Mr. Trump."

So....

Quick question, why is what Trump Jr. tried to do but failed, any different than this? Opposition research? Is it just because of "Russia"?

Well, lock her up.

A republican majority of law makers, a republican president, and still can't get the job done.

It is beginning to be obvious that the 'elite' on both sides of the aisle have immersed themselves in unethical corruptions. They may skate on 'technicalities' but in the end...if they are called out and recognized...voters can drain the swamp and attempt to filter a purer elective in the whole of our government.

Is Trump responsible for organizing this sweeping...not necessarily, but he will be remembered as the catalyst. All Americans should be supporting transparency of all. Hopefully lobbyists will be hindered. Americans voices should be considered above all.

Edit add: to stay on topic...HRC should not compare herself to Gore and Romney. Many Americans wished they would have gone away too after the election. They both have become jokes in many minds. Not all, but does she really want to be a man/bear/pig joke too?

In response I'd post a picture of folks that can't detach
Still nursing off of her saggy old breasts, but that would be sexist.

You mean instead of addressing what I said directly because there's nothing about what I said that you can refute? Because somewhere deep down you know that I'm right but you don't want to admit it because you're enjoying the high fives from your peers too much?

Have fun!

Thats an ante classic move right there. He probably learned it from you.

I try explaining this all the time. You don't reach national political levels without having some dirt on you. It just doesnt happen. In fact a lot of the state level is the same way...but it usually falls on deaf ears. R/D it doesn't matter, they're all bought and paid for or controllable by those who've paid for the influence.

A very important part of the trip to Washington is through the state level party leadership. They say who gets to run for what post and the people that they pick are the ones that will follow orders, usually with their reputation at risk if they don't... or worse, like a little child porn on their computers.

And she defends it now, saying collusion is not illegal!

There you go trump haters Hillary is now even admitting collusion is not illegal - now that she is getting blamed for it.

Will you now admit collusion isn't going to take down trump?

But campaign finance fraud is illegal - notice she doesn't touch that. It is more typical Clinton diversion tactics.

That's a much bigger deal to the average person on the Left than the dossier thing.

Why is this just becoming a big story now, all the proof needed for the rigging was in the DNC emails.

Oh that's right, they didn't read the emails - you know those emails that the Russians supposedly stole that swung the election for Trump.

Hmm, I think twitter just admitted to blocking 48% of the #DNCLeaks hashtag that referenced those emails during the election also.

So maybe twitter is guilty of collusion with Hillary and the DNC as well. Actually I think there is quite a bit of evidence for that - since they have now admitted suppressing references to those emails.

But twitter and Google and Facebook had nowhere near the influence the Russians did right?

The RUSSIANS did so much more with their facebook ads that reached 0.004% of the facebook audience and were the worst ads ever created with many acutally anti-Trump, and these emails that weren't covered by the traditional media, and were actively suppressed on social media.

Funny how nobody is ever talking about how that is collusion with the DNC against Donald Trump's candidacy.

FTR, I've never said that what Don Jr did was illegal. Look at the thread I created about Don Jr's emails if you don't believe me. Not only did I never say it was illegal, I never referred to it as "collusion."

Just to get that out of the way. Do you recall if you've ever claimed that what he did, even if he'd gotten dirt on Clinton, couldn't be called "collusion" and wouldn't have been illegal? Just curious.

But to your question above:

Is it coordination with Russia when the CIA gets information from Russians spying for the US? No, of course not. It really comes down to the relationship between the parties involved.

Was Veselnitskaya operating at the behest of the Russian government? Did the Russian government (on up to Putin) sanction her actions (informally or other?). In other words, was she acting in accordance with the will of the Russian state or some substantial faction thereof?

I don't know. But I do know that it was pitched to Don Jr as part of the Russian government's efforts to get his father elected. It's right in the email from Goldstone.

What about what Steele was doing? Was he getting information from Russians who were operating in the interest of the Russian government itself? In other words, did the Russian government seek to assist the Clinton campaign by providing information of some sort? Were his sources "cut outs" for the Kremlin? Did Steele, Fusion GPS, Elias, and whomever knew what Steele was up to (maybe even the DNC and Clinton but that's yet to be proven) have some reason to believe that they were receiving assistance for the Russian government rather than dirt from a mixture of sources whose interactions weren't sanctioned by the Russian government.

It's really not as nuanced as it's being made out to be.

Using campaign money to fund a fake dossier is a criminal offense. She can now be charged with 15 crimes. That's up from 13 on Monday.

The dossier isn't fake though.

As more evidence is revealed the more the information in the dossier is corroborated.

I will absolutely defend you that you not only never said what Don jr did was illegal, but you also said that Trump would probably never be touched perssonally by the investigation.

Furthermore, I give you credit for doing work on Manafort and Gates corruption well before I saw that info.

We may disagree on a lot, but I will gove you credit for these things.
