It's called pressure. We all had 'peer' pressure when we were growing up, it's the same thing with this and you know it, you just don't like to admit it, just like the media don't like to admit it.

Exactly... All we worried about was how much time we had to play before our moms called us home for supper. I don't know of any tomboys that didn't turn into fine women as they got older either.

Even if the source isn't reliable do you not see young kids being swayed to change gender identity based on the influence of their parents and greed of doctors.

Just because a boy is feminine doesn't mean he's a girl or vise versa. Just let these kids find themselves and decide when theyre adult making their own decisions. Parents can do harm when they are trying to do good for their children.

Or they're overly progressive morons trying to be different or trendy at the expense of their children

That's a far cry from letting a kid think they're trapped in the wrong body. This would have been laughed off by both parties 6 years ago.

I didn't say anything about forcing them to be what you want. I said setting them up for failure is letting them decide on their own that they wanna be a boy instead of a girl and vice versa. They commit suicide because they're picked on, they commit suicide because they can't be what they want to be, they commit suicide because they didn't make the right choice, they commit suicide because they're miserable of life. Let me know when you figure out the common denominator there.

Exactly. Like I said earlier, I grew up with a lot of tomboys and they're fine women today. My fiance was a tomboy when she was a kid as well. Feminine dudes usually grow out of that stage, too.

I firmly believe in supporting your children's decisions on what they want to do, however, your job as a parent is also not letting them fail. When they come to you and tell you they're not happy with who they are or what sex they are (however they approach with that), it's YOUR job to tell them the dangers and long term effects of such a desire and/or change. Anytime I had some over the top idea that my parents refused to set me up for failure on, they'd tell me that if I wanted to do something like that then I can wait until I'm 18. That went smoking, drinking, tattoos, etc. For big things like a motorcycle or sports car or new truck, they'd tell me that I can go get a job and start paying for that myself. Until then, it was their rules and whatever they got me.

How do you feel about therapy for those who think they're gay or in the wrong body?

Yep, thanks to pharma and cleaning supplies in the water.

The surgeons should lose their license and they themselves need therapy for allowing this. But it is business as usual.

On a slight side note, I heard today that Paloma Faith is bringing up her offspring as gender neutral.

I wonder how much if this stuff is just to appear PC and "right on" as it were. I don't rule out the fact that there is the odd case here and there of being born as the "wrong" sex but is it as widespread as we're being led to believe?

When you are borm, you don't get "neutral" junk; you're a boy or a girl. If, later in life, you feel diferently to the evidence between your legs then by all means seek whatever help you need but seeing this stuff about prepubescents makes be think parenting has issues.
