Sadly Rockstar Games hate PC gamers so I haven't played Red Dead Redemption and by the looks of things I won't be playing Red Dead 2 as Rockstar have no plans of releasing it on PC but the second trailer for the game released today and shows some gameplay and gives a reveal of the story .... for you lucky lucky console owners.

The all-new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

Lookin good , I bet the online mode will be epic.
So jealous.

Same boat as you, I would love the Red Dead Redemption game's to have been made for PC as well but Rockstar whom actually began on PC have betrayed there original fan base in favor of the console market as you say, I personally hate game controllers, a joystick for a flight sim fine but a button bashing mindless hand held pad no, keyboard and trackball (hate mice as well I a bit picky there) all the way.

There have been no real decent cowboy open world games for the PC for a very long time now so also Rockstar are actually cutting off there own nose to spite there own face by not making a conversion of there older game and including the PC market in this one.

Suppose they don't want there game's being modded because that is what would happen if the PC gamer's got there hand's on them.

I picked up an XB1 for $180 out the door with 6 games for about $320 with a year warranty. I got Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Evil Within, Metro Last light redeux, Gears of war Remaster.

Now I have a ton more games, it was worth it for me. I like to just download or put a disk in and play.

I really don't understand it , they ported GTA 5 eventually so yeah a port of the original Red Dead should be a no brainer.
Bad Rockstar.

That's a fine selection of games and a bargain to boot , you should do the lottery.

Loved Red Dead Redemption on PS3. Bought a PS4 pro for the release of no.2 but it was pushed back untill next year I believe. Rockstar unlike other producers perfect their games at the expense of cash flow others would have just released it warts and all.

I had a big period of PC gaming a few years back then reverted back to consul mainly for the titles, availabilty and bang for buck.

You know, I will probably take some heat for this, but to me, Red Dead Redemption was one of the most overrated games I have ever played. As a matter of fact, L.A Noire is the only RockStar game I have ever liked frankly. I MIGHT get Red Dead 2, not sure yet, but I am not over hyped about it.

L.A. Noire is their only game I have not played. It is worth checking out then?

Awesome!

I hope there's another undead add-on at some point.

The online co-op for that was a lot of fun.

I hope Abigail is in it.

Part 1 will find its way to mobile devices before too long. Maybe you can enjoy the experience that way. The Rockstar mobile library is starting to look good. A 10 year anniversary addition of Bully was their latest port, and plays quite nicely on Android. I found the Max Payne port even better than the console version.

Waiting for Red Dead now! That will be a challenge to implement good touch screen controls but they managed with several playable GTA ports already, no easy feat.

Sadly Rockstar Games hate PC gamers

I wouldn't say that, forgotten maybe but hate is such a strong word.

You have to realize they now design games for consoles because of what I think are two reasons; controller support and optimization. I couldn't see red dead redemption 2 as a keyboard and mouse game, an analog controller feels more natural for R* games, however that doesn't mean it can't include controller support because frankly RDR and GTA are better played with a controller, I played GTA:San Andreas on PC and I wish I had a controller.

When it comes to optimization, consoles are a safe bet. There are fewer kinks in the hose as there are only three variables. But when it comes to computers, every one is different-different RAM, different GPU...and so forth. And then there are those two pain in the @$$ words-system requirements, with consoles there is no nonsense. By the time you've finished with the AA, filtering, bloom, resolution etc I've already finished the first main quest.

R* are a console based developer-sad but true.

Why don't you get one?

I loved the first red dead, so I assume I'd love this one. The setting isn't utilized enough, in my opinion. Maybe I'm just partial to Westerns though.

It most likely is coming to PC. They just want to announce it at the right time. Please be patient. This is their first real next gen title.

LA noire was great, i thought. Very different from the typical M.O. of rockstar. More of a story/investigating theme. There was still shooting and driving, but this was not the focus. Give it a shot. Probably 10 bucks by now so it won't hurt if you hate it.

I loved it. It's something similar to GTA, though more story driven, except it's from a detective's perspective.

Rockstar's LA Noire Releasing For PS4, Xbox One With Some Improvements

Rockstar Games today made a big and unexpected announcement about its 2011 investigation game LA Noire: it's coming to many new platforms this November. The 1940s-set game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox Oneon November 14, while it's also coming to Nintendo Switch. Not only that, but a modified version of the crime game will be available on that date in virtual reality on HTC Vive in a package called LA Noire: The VR Case Files.

LA Noire for PS4 and Xbox One comes with the full version of the original game and all DLC, along with expected updates such as better graphics. This includes "enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures, and more." The game will output at native 1080p for PS4 and Xbox One, and in 4K on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Gamespot gave it a review of 9/10 impressive. This wil be Rockstars first VR foray and first ported title to Switch. Rekindling dealings with Intendo since their hey day issues with the brand. Intresting to see if they pushed back Red Dead 2 realease date too realease on Switch for a bigger market share.
