The head of State must legally and constitutionally be Protestant
The official religion has been Christianity for over 1,400 years
There are 2 Archbishops and 26 bishops in Parliament who vote on our Laws
The Church of England can over rule democracy by General Synod and Head of State
The legal system is judeo-christian/pagan
The democratic system is judeo-chrisitian

Sadiq Khan isn't a terrorist sympathiser, and he's not a tool of Islamism. But he does say some stupid things from time to time, and this is one of them.

For context, he's a Labour pol; and a Labour pol who is still thought of as potential leadership material; the Labour Party is currently holding its annual conference; and the big thing in the media is the fact that the conference isn't going to be debating Labour's stance on the Brexit negotiations.

Sadiq + Brexit + open microphone = some stupid spur-of-the-moment soundbite that will probably haunt him for years.
