Hey guys,

Just wanna give a heads up on some awesome planes flying over the eastern sea-board tonight. Caught a KC-135T by Philly, Couple of spookies, 2 EC-130 by DC, RC-26B in New York area, and an Air Force Casa over DC area. All kinds of cool stuff popping on and off the radar view. Hope y'all are having good night.

If anyone is online, check out Shamrock, TX, just west of the Texas-Oklahoma border. There's something doing pattern looking work, staying low. Lights look like a Herc.

So Ive been keeping tabs on the House of Saud flying circus over the US.
Earlier today a Saudi Medical G-IV was over texas and looked to be landing. Now this evening there is a Royal Saudi Air Force Boeing 737NG BBJ booking from SFO to Texas (Im assuming). Its over the Phoenix area now at FL37 and 500 knots. WOnder if its a medical issue among his massive entourage?

Looks like both planes headed or are heading to Houston

Mohammed bin Salman has been visiting the US. Yes I am using great restraint not to rant about MSB. It isn't easy.

That interesting because I saw another Saudi Air Force 737 an the A340 lift from SFO, the 737 followed the same track as the other and the last time I checked the A340 made a hard turn East while still over the bay and avoided the same course. I wonder since it was a -200 it was a noise abatement thing

Yeah don't get me started either. I had a pick of the CONUS up last night and 75% of the military aircraft up over the US were Saudi

So like POTUS, do you think they employ a back up plane? Or is the other plane like the T flights that do logistics?

So in watching they Royal Circus I noted 4 distinct planes

1) A340-200
2) 737 BBJ
3) 737 BBj2
4) G-IV thats configured for medical transport (we see this one alot in the US)

I'm assuming that the BBJ's are for press and outer circle entourage and security. (Not counting advanced teams etc). The BBJ are coded Saudi AF BTW as is the G-IV

Im unclear what kind of car he tools around in but I assume he is not using Lyft or if the US provides cars and protection. He stayed about 2 miles from us but we don't usually head over to that part of the city so we missed his holiness. I assume aside from the golden air escalator thing that failed in Russia, they do not have a huge logistics train. Saudi lists several planes in its inventory for VIP transport including a 777 and two 747's, I wonder if the A340 is the Crown Princes person conveyance and the -400 is for the King himself.

I don't think they need a backup system in place as POTUS has strategic responsibility OPLAN/SIOP etc. It is possible that Saudia staged other civilian aircraft in that capacity but I did not see in in the SFO area during the stay. I also did not pay attention to their cargo fleet so its possible they flew one of those in as logistics craft

They do a lot of experiments with icing, turbulence, and other things. They're based in Palmdale, with the NASA fleet.

Dreamlifter bringing in 787 parts from Japan to Charleston.

Looks like the KC-767 is heading to China Lake to pick up the Italian contingent there.
