Its not new, but its soooo juicy, with recent follow-up reports being released (well, not from any MSM outlets).

Some more tidbits:

The Awans’ IT jobs gave them access to congressional computer networks, including members’ email accounts. They were also linked with an Iraqi politician who is a fugitive from U.S. authorities and who has been linked to the Hezbollah terrorist group in the Middle East.
Authorities terminated the three brothers’ access to House IT systems Feb. 2. Politico reported March 1 that Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and New York Democratic Rep. Gregory Meeks declined to fire Imran, and that both members have a “friendly personal relationship with Awan and his wife, according to multiple sources.”

Juicy silence:

Congressmen have been loathe to address the Awan situation. Meeks, who employed Hina Alvi, Imran Awan’s wife, claimed the family would not do anything wrong and blamed Islamophobia for the police investigation.

Spokesmen for Democratic Reps. Diana Degette of Colorado; Frederica Wilson of Florida; and Karen Bass, Jackie Speier, Julia Brownley, Pete Aguilar and Ted Lieu of California all refused or ignored requests about what they have done to look for data breaches and whether they have fired the brothers. Texas Democrat Rep. Joaquin Castro and Rep. Sander Levin of Michigan have fired their employees.

I wonder if it's as real as the other investigations taking place for the last several months?

It's really pretty funny to watch you guys defend your points with the same arguments that non Trump supporters have found themselves using over and over again for months.

Truth is I believe the story. There's enough to substantiate everything the OP suggests from the other articles linked. But flip this around to a topic header that the Trumpers are in the counter position and say good night. Then it's fake news this, and anonymous source that. Unreliable, fake, FAKEEEE!

In a budget meeting with the DC police, Debbie Wasserman Schultz demanded to get her laptop back, but the police refused because it is part of their investigation in the Awan case. It was on video, in front of many witnesses.

How is that not confirmation that there is an investigation, even if you disregard the reports about it back when this happened?

I suppose the conspiracy angle here is why the mainstream media are so reticent, in general, to report on this, right?

The actual story is window dressing.

Curious beast, the media.

Of course the MSM won't report this... They are using up all their oxygen on trying to get Trump out of office.. why would they put that in jeopardy? They have a their job to do - which certainly is not informing the people.

Oh I know, it was rather a reflection about the deflection of fake news, no sources etc...

Either they don't care....

Or there is some incriminating evidence on the lap top.

*Cue dramatic chipmunk*

You don't threaten the police chief because you want to finish that game of Candy Crush, if you get my drift.

Why is he the "Dems" IT staffer? He works on the Congressional Staff. Who made the hiring decision would be interesting. He made a huge salary.

I think it might have been a trump Russian agent, there are a lot of them in Washington these days

Just an as experiment, what sounds like more of a threat?

Example A) “If a Member loses equipment and it is found by your staff and identified as that member’s equipment and the member is not associated with any case, it is supposed to be returned. Yes or no?”

Example B) "You better hope that there are no "tapes" of our conversations before you start leaking to the press!"

Definitely a Conspiracy !!

More like fake news. Isn't it what you run around and tell people when they quote sources such as you do right now ?

Here's an ATS thread by the alt-right about how anonymous sources = fake news.

Linky

But now anonymous sources aren't fake news?

Man, it's hard to keep up with the rampant and daily flip-flopping.

I expect most here would usually see that response as someone being humorous, but you actually believe what you just said.

I'm not exactly who falls in your alt-right bucket but DJW001 is the exact opposite of that, and he/she created your Linky / alt-right/ DJW001 thread.

So when you say:

Here's an ATS thread by the alt-right about how anonymous sources = fake news.
.. it makes one wonder if you are even reading or just being triggered?

I would bet an icy cold pint of Guinness that it is the latter. Seems to be a lot of that going around. More than usual for ATS, any way.
