Not Mars. That's some lint or other floating debris that fell on the super small scale model that they use for these pictures.

Well this is a conspiracy site right, so why not.

whatever it is it's in a weird position.... to bad the images are over-saturated.

Without having read the thread, I found this in the same image, could we be looking at some weird-assed movie set or is this an image artifact and if so does it shed any light on the surveyors reflector on the rock?.........

Im unable to post the results due to anything edited in snapseed being incompatable for reasons unknown, but the shadowed area just below the spot you have circled shows some oddities. I believe the first jpl photo to be manipulated for some reason.

It's a sign with Martian Pictograph. It says,
"Trespassers will be shot.
Survivors will be shot again."

If there's no water out there why does the ground look moist and the air misty?

keep in mind that those pictures were taken with the navigation cams (navcams) so they are black and white pictures because the navcams can`t take color pictures.

There a lot of differences between the navcams and the mast cam so obviously the pictures are going to look different.

My paradoleia kicked in. I see a martian face poking out below the overhanging marked rock. In the shadow.

it's photo shopped and to me it looks like the center of the canadian flag, you know the maple leaf.

Another Mars anomaly and I apologise if this has been discussed previously but there are so many Mars topics on ATS and a Google search was a thankless task to go through. So here are a couple of pictures from the Mars JPL site.

1. You will see on a rock, at the far right and about halfway up, a white rectangle with some kind of shape on it, which is indistinguishable to me.

2. Same area only with the camera swung more to the right, the anomaly has moved toward the left-hand side but is still on the same rock and in the same position, also with the shape still on it.

It just looks so strangely out of place and stands out like a sore thumb. At first I thought it was an image artifact but the second picture in the sequence appears to rule that out. It almost looks like a piece of card or a thin, flat object, devoid of features apart from the strange thing [hole?] in the middle of it.
