Trump Donates First Quarter Paycheck to National Park Service

President Donald Trump donated his first presidential paycheck to the National Park Service, Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Monday.

Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke and Harpers' Ferry National Park Superintendent Tyrone Brandyburg were on hand to accept the personal check for $78,333.32 on behalf of the park service.

Trump promised to give his paycheck back to America. This sounds like a good way to do it!
If each quarter he gives his salary to a different federally funded project, then he is giving it back to Americans.

So many doubted that he would actually give up his presidential pay, but he did it.

Isn't the NPS under the dept. of the Interior one of the agencies Trump is going to trash.

Good for him! It was a simple but grand gesture in my eyes. Only Hoover and JFK have done this in the past.

Can't cross ethical lines remember? His sons giving him free rent would surely be looked upon as unethical by the left.

Even if they rent space they have to pay regular full price just to show there is no preferential trearment. And it's all documented.

See, in US Govt positions, they can't accept deals or gifts of any kind that would be perceived as crossing ethical boundaries. I have done enough business with the Air Force that I am well versed in this matter.

Though I'm not sure even if that did happen that anyone arguing would have a leg to stand on after Hillary being cleared of anything related to the Clinton Foundation donations.

Says the same , except more glorified headlines. The linked articles just get worse....Nowhere in any of them is it even mentioned that the President is cutting entire departments. Just cutting funding for those sub -departments that are a waste of taxpayer money

Maybe that's why you're so upset, he does or attempts to do what he said he would; all while not taking away rights of citizens.

Did we forget last week when he basically said about the healthcare thing.." this is what you're going to get and if it doesn't go through I'm done w it".
