this is so soothingly uplifting a sadness, for me...
I love violin, and not sure of the difference, but the fiddle is close to my heart..

a song i love to hear on the violin,

This is the sort of music you would like to sit and drink coffee drinks, IMO...or tea
depending on what sort of good timey fun there is,

i learned of this snappy upbeat happy music from some musician, pals...

one friend from France, touring small cafe's in the states and a fellow that i fought with over Mahjong...

anyone stopping in, please share some songs on your favorite instrument!
thanks for listening!

Django and Stephane are amazing.

Have you ever seen the film sweet and low down?

Sean penn plays s jazz guitarists who is obsessed with Django. So funny, I love it.

Here's some ragtime from blind Blake. So much syncopated noise from one instrument.

Ah music! My favorite kinda topic, music is the most beautiful language i know.

Kalyi Jag- La Romnjasa

Taraf De Haidouks from Romania,
they play allot of mix music that sound to me allot like Jewish and gypsy spiritual journey coming together.

Manitas de Plata with Dali 1967,
they play Spanish gypsy flamenco with mixed French gypsy rhumba style and it is just full of good spirits.

Romafest Gypsy Dance Theater - Verbunk

technically there is no difference between a violin and a fiddle. people usually make the distinction based on the type of music being played.
for example if youre listening to paganini you would more than likely refer to it as violin.
if youre listening to some bluegrass or traditional folk type you would probably refer to it as a fiddle

neither is right or wrong technically speaking though

some good stuff here

there is a violinist named lillie mae rische that has been playing with jack white as of late. i like her a lot. she is not a virtuoso by any stretch but i dig her style
