Iran is going to conduct military drills nest week despite US warnings. The maneuvers will use rockets, but what kind is not specified.

www.yahoo.com...
Tehran (AFP) - Iran's elite Revolutionary Guard is to conduct military drills next week, a senior commander announced Saturday, despite warnings from the United States and fresh sanctions over a ballistic missile test.

"The manoeuvres called 'Grand Prophet 11' will start Monday and last three days," General Mohammad Pakpour, commander of the force's ground units, told a news conference.
He said rockets would be used without specifying which kind.

Iran's conducted drills that involved launching short range missiles that heightened tensions with the US.

In early February, Iran conducted drills involving short-range missiles at a time of heightened tensions with the United States.

The Islamic republic said the exercises were aimed at demonstrating Iran's "complete preparedness to deal with the threats" and "humiliating sanctions" from Washington.

As if the uS has any right to tell them what defensive drills to carry out? They are a sovereign nation, something the US gubment claims to uphold and gets vehement about when comes to its own borders, but disregards totally when it comes to other nations it intends to victimize.

I guess there is the question of destroying America. Is that still a big slogan from their leadership?

Why would the launching of short range missiles upset the U.S?

I have checked the history books, but I can't find any evidence of Iran invading any country or starting any war in a very long time.

Of course, the U.S could be upset on behalf of the Saudis?

I bet they launch into very crowded international waters. Otherwise who cares.

DPRK are more a risk to America than Iran , the rhetoric engaged by Iran is in response to actions taken against them by America.

North Korea.

After seeing Trump and Bibi together I think Iran has good cause to hold military exercises.

It is a tricky place that is important because of OIL.

The Middle East's importance to America goes further than oil.
