What is *that thing* you are watching tonight?

For some reason I always watch a Mr. Bean marathon on Christmas eve. It just feels like Christmas. What are you watching to make it *Christmas eve* for you?

LOL. My city will get Uber soon....had it for a bit and then the stupid city council voted it out. But both Lyft and Uber are coming back.

My child is off at college. Thank the Gods.

I'll be looking at the inside of my covers basically as I have come down with a terrible flu.
Seriously, a week is long enough to get bored with netflix binge watching.

I watched Mr Bean with my daughter and she couldn't understand why he was obtuse.

As a child of the 90s / 80s Mr Bean Christmas specials fill me with joy!

I'm glad we can both lay our weapons down for the holiday, reldra.

To expand on my sentiments...

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Scrooge - A Christmas Carol.

It's the 1951 version, starring Alastair Sim and Mervyn Johns. Sim does an excellent Scrooge.

Happy memories watching this as a child...with mum and dad namedropping the various cast members as they appeared, known only by people of their era. "Oh, he'll be long dead now..." lol

Although I'm not watching it on TV, I will be watching Dragonball Super episode 72 later on tonight straight out of Japan! I'll probably watch Blade Runner later on so I can get all caught cause I'm excited about the sequel!

Btw, I love Mr. Bean. This is one of my favorite moments from his show!

My 17 year old insisted we watch "Die Hard" because the story takes place during a corporate Christmas party. Just finished watching. It was AWESOME. New holiday tradition.
