My husband had told me he had to go on a business trip for four nights this weekend, until Wednesday. I never thought anything of it - he must travel a lot for his work.

Until tonight, I received a confirmation from a four star hotel in Bourgogne for TWO adults those four nights. It's a great place, spa and all.

I am in shock. I am crushed. I am an idiot. A naive idiot.

I was supposed to meet him tomorrow, as I am working at a convention for two days where he will be working- luckily I have colleagues I can bunk up with.
But My life has just turned upside down. I'll be single again, and I don't know how to deal with that.
I'm old, and I don't think I ever want to be with anyone again. Damn. # just got real, but it feels so unreal...

Has anything like this happened in the past?

No words, no encouragement, no advice could I offer that would help in any way. Nothing could push away what you're feeling except by your own heart and time. I wish you the best and my best wishes to you. I'm truly sorry. I do know how that feels and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Sorry to hear that, perhaps you could act normal and get an investigator to gather evidence over the weekend?

My girlfriend went through the same thing with her jet set husband, now we're waiting for the ink to dry, she says it's the first time in 20 years she's been happy losing the deceptive jerk. Life goes on, living in a lie is worse than being single, stay strong and good luck!

Wow what a dick [that is if what you think is going on Is in fact going on. Women are intuitive that way]. I'm sorry you're going through this I wish I had more words. Stay Strong! You're worth more than He ever was.

I'm only saying that if he has not been unfaithful in the past...there may yet be another explanation for this situation.

Have you spoken with your Husband? Maybe things aren't as they seem?

If you are correct about what is going on...my deepest sympathies. Nothing hurts like being betrayed by someone you love.

Aww, really sorry to read this Bluesma, it feels painful I know, and no matter what people say at this stage you will probably find it too difficult to relate to. Why? Because whatever advice is given now, it will be rejected, but hold on to this thread and return to it in 6 months.

I hope, I really hope you can work it out with your husband if I am honest. I know it will be difficult to forgive, even harder to forget, but if you feel he is worth it and he feels like a real scumbag, who will do anything to make it up, then you never know.

✌🏻

Seriously? Hate your own gender for the actions of one or a few when the other gender does the same?

OP I'm sorry to hear, but better to find out and leave the "man" then to be continuously deceived. Here's a hug. (HUG)

Wait a second, you are already divorcing yourself, moving on in life and "feeling so surreal" about something that could have been tantamount to a booking error?

Over dramatize a little?

Why don't you wait and see what he has to say about it...

Give him a chance. Could be a mistake on the billing.

You're not an idiot whatever happens.

That is kind of what I was wondering, or if I mis read the OP? Maybe it was for her to join him? Look, I am as suspicious as can be, thanks to my first cheating b husband, but I had to know for sure, so I just did everything possible to find out, when asking didn't provide the truth.

I caught him, and it sucked. But please be at least 99%. Maybe you know of other things, you haven't mentioned OP?

Either way, I feel for you, and will keep you in my thoughts.
