Except, the stories he mentioned came from the echo chamber. They are the direct product of the echo chamber -- media outlets (if you can call them that) who incite people for profit, who tell them exactly what they want to hear so they can increase their pageviews, even if it means they have to fabricate the stories from whole cloth.

There are plenty of media-based echo chambers in America, but most of them are biased presentations of legitimate news stories. The bias is a problem, and the world would be better off without it, but it's not quite the same thing as an echo chamber based on mountains of outright lies.

Here's a small snipped in history of the lefts promoting free speech.
The left are the one's who had looked at the 1st amendment as a "living breathing document" (not that i agree with such an interpretation). During the vietnam war, there were students who wore black bands on their sleeves to protest the war. Students got into a legal dispute, and it went up to the supreme court. Conservative justices concluded that the 1st amendment does not say anything about free speech pertaining to something you wear on your clothes. And they are right, regarding a strict interpretation, it doesn't state that anywhere in the 1st amendment. This is what the conservative justices believed at the time.

On the flipside of the coin, the liberal judges concluded that free speech can have it's expression manifest in symbolic terms, such as the case of the black band of protest. Because of the evil left having a majority of seats in the court, and with their diabolical non-strict interpretation of the constitution, free speech was extended and protected into other forms of expression, SICK!

BLM is scum. They used to be inclusive and would reach out to ALL races, but it has festered into this plague. By now I think people from both sides from the political spectrum (not including the extreme left) are aware that BLM is national embarrassment. A poor excuse of what a movement and organization is.

J Edgar Hoover was one crooked person, but if he were here today and the FBI were to utilize the COINTELPRO program to dismantile and dissolve BLM, I'd leap a mile high with joy.

I think the problem is that things have turned into a slippery slope. There have very well been instances where banning "hate speech" was absolutely warranted. And that unfortunately set a precedence to ban "offensive speech" by the butthurt left. Then this lead to the banning of accounts, then to the blacklist of alternative websites. And then the crybabies bat a blind eye when their own kin is acting deplorably.

But again, the fringe left constructed this fiasco. There's no way you can attribute it to all lefts, unless there's a pew poll to back up your claim. In high school and in college I've taken the political spectrum tests and it indicates that I am actually on the fringe left side of the specturm as well . With that being said, I do not agree with what's going on. Why you might ask? That's because you have the left, and then you have the butthurt left.

The butthurts are perpetuating this, the other ones like me, and others in this thread have openly disavowed such actions. And in fact, LIKE to have our ideas challenged, (it's the reason why I hate listening to NPR radio unless they have the conservatives come on the telephone line to rattle the liberals)

But I ultimately, I think I see where you're coming from, there's SO MANY butthurt liberals that it could possibly be justified to just generalize the group as a whole. Who knows? At this point, the butthurts could be the majority.... orrrr the vocal minority. While the regular lefts are just openly accepting what has happened and therefore have no need to cause a ruckus .
