When will the political threads stop?

Many were looking forward to election day because they were tired of all the political threads on ATS. Here we are a few days later and it seems like we have as many - if not more - political threads now.

Take a look at the front page, 98% of the threads are politics-related.

How much longer will the political threads keep pouring in? Until the official inauguration in January? Longer?

Seeing as Trump's victory is the most controversial of all time, I get the feeling ATS will be like this for at least the next 4 years.

Give it about... 24 months. They'll die down for a bit, just in time for the ads to hit TV again for re-election.

When the politics stops, I would imagine.
Some of us were predicting beforehand that controversy would not be over on the 8th, because the result would be disputed one way or the other.

When the national temper tantrum dies down? And at this point, it could be anyone's guess when that will happen. I give it until the first real cold spells set in.

The United States is going through a major political transition.

The topics and exposures of liars will not end.

The transition will take 10 years.

The political conspiracies that were laughed at a year ago are not conspiracies any more.

Keyword for another month at least...electoral college..after that, the first 100 days immediacy, after that, where's the fecking wall, after that what's this about Trump care, after that, what's happened to China-take care-of-care, after that, where's the fecking wall!

When Trump fans stop believing that:

They voted for a good candidate, rather than AT BEST the least worst

That he is anything less or more than a fascist

That his presidency will be anything other than a disaster for the freedom and liberty of the people of the United States

for a start.

Oh, and here's an idea that witless intellectual failures might want to adopt before their ignorance drowns them in the blood of innocent people...

The Nazis were NOT socialists. The socialists of Germany were some of the first against the wall, as it happens. The presence of the word socialist in the name of the Nazi party, was there to attract socialist activists early on, because they had access to massive support amongst workers, and were heavily involved in the labour force, and were needed on side. The moment they realised what was happening, most of them revolted and were executed or imprisoned with the same ferocity that the Nazis went for everyone they disliked.

So, when you see the idiot Trumps biggest fans works in the streets, the spray paint on the walls, the beaten homosexuals, and the abused Americans of colour who have encountered the serious fan base, do not hide behind the flawed understanding of the Nazi party that many of you have, which describes their party as socialist. That was a propaganda ploy then, and it still is today. Accept it or not, this remains the truth.

Here's an idea...

Go to every single forum that you enjoy reading or like to participate in and "favorite" all of them. Make "myATS" your main page instead of using any other pop-generated pages. Taking this route will whisk you away from a full on frontal assault of political banter and allow you to create a more tailored ATS experience.

I'm aware of all of those things... you seem to be unaware that the other side is doing the exact same thing. America is in its third night of protests. Fights are breaking out, flags are being burned, etc etc. And those are the Hilary supporters.

I actually live here... so you're opinion means next to nothing coming from across the pond.

If you're going to call out the extremists then call them all out.

We need a moratorium on political posts, seriously. Like a couple weeks at least. There is virtually nothing on ATS beyond political vitriol, toxic comment and hate.

I look at the flow of ATS threads like a rhythmic interchange between interminable energy expenditure, general cognitive fatigue and infrequent revelation. In the here and now, it's our "moderately given" right to fully express ourselves within the T&Cs.

My only gripe is that not enough original thought or unique expression is added, otherwise known as "personality" (which your threads have plenty of, lol). I encourage all members to create what they want, when they want, where they want, as long as it's done with care, a healthy approach and an open mind.

That is a worry, however whole threads have disappeared because of the obviousness of that, I'm not saying it's perfect, but at least someone is doing the work...that's all I can say, if you get it.
